Indeed. Why should they just be parachuted in at the top. Let them start at the equivalent of the Essex Senior League and work their way up, like every other side who aspires to play in the top division!
itotally understand the comments from the english , the epl has been dominated by a scots manager for years and i can understand why they wouldnt want it dominated by a scottish team.
if you allow celtic and rangers,then you have to allow aberdeen ,dundee u,kilmarnock ,hearts and hibs etc into the other english leagues aswell .

Hearts, what do you think would happen if they did join, that millions of new people would suddenly discover Sky? There is only a finite number of people interested in football irrespective of who's playing where.
What would it do though? Most people who want Sky already have it, and those who don't have it and do want it probably can't afford it. It's not going to make them much money is it. Plus with the proposed reduction of number of teams in the league (down to 18) there will actually be fewer rounds of games to televise.
I can understand smaller clubs like everton and bolton wanting a two tier league so they have a better chance of winning something BUT spl teams? Hmm
