Its one thing to TRY to predict who will score, its another if a team falls over their own feet the entire game & fails to score. Arsenal finished 0-0, it was funny to watch Podolski getting in the way of Cazorla. A big tick on Cazorla for a future scorer, he impressed the entire game. On the other hand, Newcastle & Tottenham scored each, netting me a nice sum to balance the loss @ Arsenal

Back to the business of the day, Wigan vs Chelsea. Its hard to get away from Fernando Torres scoring. Really. Its hard. I see a complete thrashing by a confidence Chelsea side. In matter of fact, my other bet will be Chelsea HT/FT. Put aside their loss @ the community, its always hard when you lose a defender in the 1st half. But do remember it was Torres who scored 1st for Chelsea in that game.

Lithuania did not hit 2.0, but if you traded off at 2.5-2.8 you could ve made some. The threes were dropping for them but Kirilenko was just too much at the end.

While everyone is raving about Podolski. Here is one reason he wont score today- Bayern Munich. I tracked Lukas all season in Koln where almost every game went overs. One reason he kept scoring for Koln and not at Bayern- no pressure. I m not too sure if he is able to score as freely as he did while he was in Koln. Instead of laying him off- what I would rather do is to put my money on Gervinho to score. In matter of fact, I ll be punting that he scores 1st.

Newcastle vs Tottenham
I expect both to score. But I also expect it to be a cagey match, the Tottenham back 4 is still in suspect, the lack of presence in Adebayor translates to goals from Defoe & perhaps Bale. Instead of putting my money in the players market, OR even in the overs market, I ll be betting both clubs to score instead. In matter of fact, that will be my bet of the weekend.

BASKETBALL- RUSSIA VS LITHUANIA OLYMPIC QUARTERFINALS

There is no absolute way Lithuania is priced at 3.95 and Russia at 1.3ish. No absolute way. Lithuania boasts of a squad that plays solid basketball game in game out. Anyone who has seen them play USA would understand what I am saying. This is a group who plays hard direct basketball & can make 3s. Russia on the other hand has Kirilenko. Having said that, they barely lost to an Australian side in the group stages. Australia needing a Patty Mills 3 pointer in the last 4 seconds to take it home. Whatever it is, 3.95 Lithuania is a steal. Grab it as fast as you can and trade out in 2. Thats an easy 100% of your hard earn money

Been watching M'bach lately. The entire team's scoring depends largely on Marco Reus. Daft touches get assists and goals. Broke his lil toe couple weeks ago and started training again recently. Not surprising, he had a "toe" in the goal vs Mainz couple days back. Left late in the game from a knock in the knee. Broken toe + knock knee + another game just 2-3 days after the last + its a CUP GAME= I doubt he ll perform as well as he has always done/or he will even start. Vs Shalke who has been on form lately, odds on a Shalke win is a tad high IMO. I will wait till the lineups are announced. If Shalke fields a strong team and M'bach starts without Reus, its Shalke for me.

Blackburn burnt as Bolton ran 2 goals past them. The negativity around the club was just too poignant to ignore and we won yesterday. Today's overs/unders come from Newcastle who were unlucky to draw scoreless the last time. Dembaba was amazing, but couldn't find the net. I don't think that will be the case today. West Brom has quality to score goals, the direct runs of Shane long, precision passing of Brunt and the speed of Odemwingie says at least 1 goal, coupled with the defensive injuries to Newcastle, this strengthens to point. Albeit the fact Swansea did not score either the last time. Over to Newcastle, i wouldn't bet against Dembaba NOT scoring today. Obertan's runs on the wings opens defenses and I will see at least 1 goal from the boys in stripes. 1 goal+ 1goal= 2 goals. Since I see Newcastle winning this, that will be another on the board. 3 goals means OVER 2.5

Blackburn's defense woes continues with Scott Dann out with ruptured testicles + Givet out for surgery. I expect the only way they will have a chance is to score today. Bolton will also be desperate for a win and have players able to score more than 2 goals.
