As far as i know BF only make money through commission so how could they benefit by rigging games. If you lose money like quite a few people are complaining about on here then others on the exchange will have won your money. Explain.

Sorry, gone fishin.
Report olieno • September 6, 2010 4:56 PM BST
I think Betfair match bets too
Report arams • September 6, 2010 5:07 PM BST
Well i'm new here, so don't know the full situation. Different story then. Is there a regulator that checks what's going on.
Report olieno • September 6, 2010 6:45 PM BST
The Gambling Commission must play some part but cant see that making a difference.

If you are new to this I would advise you to not play any further. You will start to get a good turn then it all goes downhill.

Your right, i am finished with the games, just live events for me. I do some programming by trade and it would be so simple for me to write a script to allow the house to win then delete that script and nobody would be any the wiser.

Except perhaps some disgruntled ex-employee who would spill the beans at some future date and perhaps destroy the BF franchise.
And all to gain a few pennies from Xgames.
A likely set up ?
I don't think so.

Pennies?
Report FINE AS FROG HAIR • September 7, 2010 1:01 AM BST
Quaint eh ?
Report olieno • September 7, 2010 10:25 AM BST
Exactly arams.

The way I see it is games are programmed to win.

An explanation for you frog could be shareholders are programmers and they aren't exactly going to leak on their own company, are they?
plus these guys are making millions not pennies.

Making millions from Xgames ?
I don't think so somehow.
But, once you or anybody else believes the "fix" is in, then no amount of common sense is going to be of any import at all.
You will believe what you want to believe.
A sad state to be in. But there you are.
Report olieno • September 7, 2010 2:44 PM BST
Yes overtime they would make that. They would easily make thousands of pounds from xgames daily.

Its controversial. Even if it is or isn't fixed it wont be proven.

I still believe betfairs in favour tho
Report FINE AS FROG HAIR • September 7, 2010 4:51 PM BST
It's not even remotely controversial.
There are a few complainers on here that's all.
Most people accept the games for what they are.
A bit of fun gaming, based on random numbers.
Some might take them more seriously, as in those people who have been trying to beat random number casino games like roulette for years, but even they don't complain " fix" when they lose.
The " fix brigade" are a very small minority of people who just won't, for some unknown reason, accept the fact that a negative probability game of chance cannot mathmematically be beaten, no matter who was running or organising it. It doesn't need to be "fixed".
Report Jazza • September 7, 2010 6:32 PM BST
....and for every argument there is a counter argument.
Report olieno • September 7, 2010 7:33 PM BST
For a start there's more than a few people that complain plus your forgetting that not everyone goes on the forum so we don't know how everybody feels.

If betfair match bets and don't put it in their favour to win would they not lose a fortune?
Report Grunweld • September 7, 2010 8:14 PM BST
NO, they can't lose because they are offering money at less than true odds and they charge commission on top
Report Live4 • September 9, 2010 4:55 PM BST
Doh.
