A couple of rags to consider for place purposes is Nightime Dancer a Hannon improver and Al Wasl Storm .
Many people would like to see Stay True supplemented but they ignore Nightime Dancer who was only 3 lengths behind him .
Al Wasl Storm is jump bred and not very well jump bred but somebody saw his potential . He gets the trip , seems to be nimble and clocks good times . Trained by Owen Burrows I have seen less talented horses than this colt run big races in The Derby .
Delacroix should not be favourite . Ruling Court is a dual Gr1 winner that beat the winners of The Craven , The Middle Park and The Dewhurst at Newmarket . Field Of Gold subsequently won a Gr1 with a Gr1 winner in 3rd spot . How on Earth is Ruling Court 9/2 ?
Those of us who give Delacroix a chance should all be on at 7/1 or better so who is left to back it at 2/1 ?
Purview is out as he is not up to this just yet which does not say much for the Delacroix form .
If The Lion In Winter is still behind how poor is The Dante form ?
The lay trio is a trifle too dear for we small stake punters . 17/3 if you were lucky but realistically around 8/1 .
Damysus , offered at 14/1 but should be 25/1 at least . The Classic form looks dire and on York form it is difficult to see how he can beat The Lion In Winter or Pride Of Arras .
Stanhope Gardens , the stable jockey will not hear of defeat for Pride Of Arras and the fact that the owner is flying in from Hong Kong means nothing as he would probably be here even if he did not have a runner .
Nightcrawler , beaten easily by King Of Cities who was in turn well held at Chantilly .
The only chink of light from the lantern of hope that falls on The Dante is provided by Trinity College therefore best not to lay Sea Scout .

Botti is in good form , Malvern won the Italian Derby and Lordano winning at Baden Baden did no harm to the Ancient Wisdom form .
The favourite looks too short and might drift to a reasonable price .

Some seem to think that Lambourn is second string to Delacroix . Do not bank on it . I am convinced that Wayne gets the rag , remember The Dewhurst ?
He might get overlooked by "experts " but Nightime Dancer has stayed on nicely from an impossible position . Nothing to see if he was fit but he looked like another run would do him no harm .
