Odds on here at time of writing: Littler 3.15 Humphries 4.5 Anderson 11.5 MVG 13 Nijman 32 M Smith 32 Price 40 De Decker 40 Van Veen 46 Bunting 50 Dobey 50 Cross 55
Lopsided draw this year. The two standout favs and last year's finalists, Humphries and Littler, both in the top half of the draw along with most of the other in-form players. Maybe their odds are the wrong way round and Humphries should be favourite although he could be vulnerable in the 1st couple of rounds.
It's not hard to see why Gary Anderson is the shortest price he's been for years given what he's up against in the bottom half of the draw and he will carry some of my money.
Nice to see a thread, I hope it continues theough the tournament, it used to be a fantastic crack. Although in the top half, De Decker at 40 is well worth a punt. He's now a proven winner and should have beaten Littler but for the boos when throwing for the winning double.

The overall standard has been pish so far (apart from a completely random 9-darter). Most games being won with 80-something averages. Although I think I said something similar two years ago. Painful to watch the likes of Wright and Aspinall throwing all over the shop and still somehow scraping through.

Well, that's more like it. Rydz in from 1000 to 100 after averaging 107 while winning his 1st round match in about 25 mins. He had a good run in 2022 before losing 5-4 to the eventual champ in the QFs.

It’s always a poor standard before Xmas. Hard to get fully in to nowadays early on. Rydz was superb. Shocked to wake up this morning and see Smith is out, even though he hasn’t been the same player since winning this.

The final set of the Smith game was great but if the Dutch guy hadn't missed so many doubles it wouldn't have gone that far. Smith didn't have the recent form to have a good run here and was priced accordingly although I saw the Racing Post made him their pick.

Someone shouted from the crowd, we have sent out for some doughnuts from Asda express, they are waiting for you in your changing room, suddenly he won 5-2.

Premier League lineup announced on Monday. Humphries, Littler, MVG and Cross apparently in automatically as the top 4 in the rankings. Bunting at #5 is probably fairly safe after his run here. Michael Smith has slumped to #16 but still box office. Price has probably done just about enough after beating one of the other possibles (Clayton) here. Wright and Anderson probably haven't done enough to overcome recent Premier League (non-)showings. I'd guess Dobey for the final spot.
