Modus Sports Management have made the following statement.
"We are saddened to advise that Fallon Sherrock will not be participating in the WDF Lakeside World Championship in April."
The remainder of this bs statement is irrelevant.
What Modus are really saying is our prized asset is freely available for no pressure darts in Exhibitions or at Ally Pally where the expectancy is low but marketing is high.
Why risk your prized asset at Lakeside world Championship where she would have started as the Outright favourite with the winner receiving £25K. There is no way on paper she would blow it? Then again the expectancy would be high with all the pressure on her. Pressure comes with being at the top. It separates the great from the good.
INo way in a million years will she play Exhibitions during Lakeside and top £25K. It's been muted she might be playing Modus online league during Lakeside. That would be the ultimate insult to the Women's game and WDF.
This is a total cop out by her management. Remember this...Fallon agreed to play and replaced Anna the Russian "with no love" from the IOC, and the WDF withdrew her. This is the former face of the pdc...their Original poster girl who married Tony Martin an English player and has lived in England for too many years to keep count.
So out she goes and in comes Fallon. This must have pissed a lot of the players off allowing the Taylor of the Ladies game back in. Gallons late inclusion resulted in 2 additional tickets being sold for her session. 2 tickets for the so called most marketable darts name on the planet.
Within a week of being put in the draw bracket her management said NO. Who the f@ck are they to determine she goes for guaranteed money and merch sales over the chance of finally winning a World Championship?
Modus are guilty of using her like a trained dart playing monkey. "Greed is good" makes its ugly return in 2022.

I read a report today saying neither Fallon not her management have yet said why she was Withdrawn from Lakeside.
Dart player plays darts shocker...and like Beau she has progressed through the years. She was even Ted Evetts team captain in their youth days. Simply swept under the rug with no f@cks given. That's it for now on modus as it's time to hit the Chinese restaurant as they shut 7pm over here... |
