Only 17 men have taken part in a PDC World Championship final.
Eight of them were one time finalists, seven of them finishing as runner up.

Only two men have two appearances in the final, both of them winning on one of these occasions.
Three men have three final appearances. One lost all three, the others both won twice.

Only one man has four finals. He won twice and lost twice.

Two men have appeared in the final five times. One of them faced the same opponent on each occasion, winning just the once. The other is a three time winner.

Then there is Phil.
In total, he appeared in the final nineteen times (including the first 14 finals), winning 14 of them.

He won eight consecutive titles between 1995 and 2002 and holds the record three dart average in a final of 110.94 when smashing Barney 7-1 in 2009.

MVG will be thinking the same mind

Easy to see why MVG is favorite for the tournament.

Ricky played pretty well like you say.

More fun and games tomorrow. CoolHappySillyGrin

I’d like the rules of the tournament to be altered so that “A-Game” King isn’t actually allowed to play on the big stage. Instead, I’d like him to have to throw his darts (under supervision) in some sort of ‘downstairs’ room, the sort wherein Mr Hudson and Mrs Bridges polish Mr Bellamy's boots.

I can probably find a carrot for the nose, but I don’t have a chastity cage to contain the downstairs carrot. ALWAYS a key part of any Snowman construction.

Bob, have you and the diplomats been to Brussels yet and sorted out a post-Brexmas deal which allows Granty back here?
By:

When: 28 Dec 20 12:37
The process is stalling big time Alun! The pandemic and current economic climate mean talks are currently in deadlock with a outcome probably going to take as long as brexit to resolve

He’s found his A-Game in a spectator-less atmosphere. He’d be odds-on in a tournament played in a monks retreat.
