I can't understand the hatred. Why shouldn't someone with his record know a few people? Watch any episode of Graham Norton (if you can stand to), or any other high achieving famous people. The all do it.
I have always found Taylor's honesty - and he always answers questions directly, refreshing. Most other interviewees just say the same old pseudo-modest stuff. Taylor tends to say what he thinks.
