Round 2 for me also. All my 1st round bets have been to a minimum barring trades and filthy arbs. Lets get it to a best of 7 sets where the real action will start to unfold.
Tonight: Deano 5/6 v Ronny 11/10 - Over 3.5 sets. Wes 6/5 v Christo 4/5 - This pair played a cracking first round which is remembered for the ref fecking up the rules when it went to a deciding leg. Christo should have thrown first in the decider, the ref said it's bull up. Both bull up while pandamonia is going on with the pdc officials trying to correct things. The match is halted and restarted. Christo is told to throw first and the poor sod doesn't understand english so throws first for the bull. Goes to take the dart out and is told to carry on with the other two darts. In the end Christo deservedly won the match. That's how i remember it. Roll on 12 months and Wes been on a run similar to Whitlock. Can't buy a win and is nearly gone at the game, though played some decent stuff in patches not long back. Christo's form seems to have stagnated though is as solid as they come. Chisnall 1/4 v Rowby 4/1 - rowby to cover the 180's spread. Maybe win a set? Jenks 1/5 v Big Daddy D 4/1 - big daddy on the h'cap. Jenks v the lesser players in 1st round matches can be a ropey as Thornton was last night. That took all of 5 mins...I'll now go check the odds. |

jenkins 1/5 says it all, hes not 1/5 anyone v anyone on planet darts!

Dave Clarke 5 always banging on about anyone ko'd out of the world championships ruins their christmas? Most players in the top bracket are already minted though they've never won a major. Can you imagine players like Thornton sat at home with his family/grandkids and seething cos he's out? Not on your nelly. He'll be over the disappointment and loving his holiday time.
First round losers get £10k which goes a long way to next year's pro tour fees etc... |

easy 1st set for Deano
By:
why?he seems an ok bloke when they interview him.made quick work of the first set.hopefully get away to a nice set in set 2 and then he'd be best part of the way home
By:
what you on sick?
By:
if the double cops i may have a small bet o young in the last match on the basis he may just be a tad overpriced.
By:
deano and reyes double. newton looks a blown man nowadays and reyes an improved performer, need the double very poor day on the nags, won't recover todays losses as i try not to chase when i go behind
By:
i always think huybrchts is a plodder, if you're manunderrperforms he can take advantage but if your man plays to a decent level then huybrects struggles
By:
I'm a bit behind posting as the match is into the 2nd set.
But wtf? Deano yet again messing about with his walk on music...Madonna - like a prayer? Who came up with that uninspiring tune? Nothing was ever wrong with his original walk on song of his home city, Def Leppard - Lets get rocked. |
By:
Absolute clowns these two
By:
Deano or Ronny - Which player sinks the most units pre match?
By:
They cant have had too much DnB, they started at 7

By:
the standard of this is absymal!
By:
as expected
By:
Neither of these two are capable of stepping on someone's throat, the worse one plays thye worse the other does. 2-3 or 3-2 is the only way this goes.

By:
that set was gash by dean
By:
It's very quiet on here tonight. Is there any other big sports clashing with the darts on tv?
I really have no idea as i'm in a total darts bubble? |
By:
needs to get it together rapido
By:
Lovely set for me sicko...still only 1x180 thus far.
By:
Deano threw straight as an arrow first set and then was all over the place in the 2nd. Ronny will play to a 90 level basically in Dean's hands whether he wins or not
By:
By:
Wes getting hammered from all corners...even drifting in the match bet since his mauling on here and the comms box
By:
i must be in the very small minority who think Wes will win tonight
By:
I could never get Newton right when he was playing well never mind now that he ain't
By:
is wes still a full time pro or has he got a 9-5? havent seen him on tv in so long (genuine question)
By:
He was an accountant by trade?
Get the impression Deano knows this game is massive in terms of staying in top 32 too |
By:
winner of this leg wins the match
