Monty's 15/8 vic, was swiftly snapped up last night.
4 tough looking Mens 1/4's to call too... Ladies Averages & Darts Per Leg* - Top Half: 1/6 lisa ashton - 81.72 (18.39*) - 90.18 (16.67*) v 9/2 sharon prins - 72.66 (20.69*) - 68.49 (21.94*) Bottom Half: 1/2 anastasia - 72.42 (20.75*) - 75.87 (19.81*) v 13/8 fallon sherrock - 75.60 (19.88*) - 75.84 (19.82*) Mens Averages & Darts Per Leg* - Top Half: 1/2 Robbie Green - 91.65 (16.40*) - 98.22 (15.30*) v 15/8 Jeff Smith - P86.10 (17.46*) - 89.92 (16.71*) - 91.23 (16.47*) 4/1 Brian Dawson - P84.90 (17.70*) - 85.35 (17.61*) - 85.29 (17.62*) v 1/4 Scott Mitchell - 92.55 (16.24*) - 93.12 (16.14*) Mens Averages & Darts Per Leg* - Bottom Half: Daryl Fitton - 88.05 (17.07*) - 94.32 (15.94*) v Glen Durrant - 96.21 (15.62*) - 98.05 (15.33*) Scotland's Capatain - 89.64 (16.77*) - 97.29 (15.45*) v England's Greatest Captain - 94.11 - (15.97*) - 89.37 (16.82*) Stats don't lie? - Mens winning legs vary between 16-18 darts. The 1/4 final winners are likely to be the ones who break in key moments against the throw in 18 darts or less. KJP - "Averages are a guide - It's all about taking the right shots at the right time." Really looking forward to the next 3 days. Totally wide open as the betting suggests. P.S. The stats show the standard has improved from previous years, where many legs were 20+ darts. The peaks & troughs of each player this tourney also makes for interesting reading. C'mon the BDO lads & lasses ![]() |

4 fold Ashton, Anastasia, Kong and Mitchell pays just under 2/1
easy money? |

Easy? This is the bdo

Mitchell now 1.21 on here, seems very short. Lets hop he loses the first set

Ashton looks an absolute cert. Should be about 1.06 in my opinion. I rarely back anything sub 1.5 but have backed her at 1.16, and to win 2-0 at odds from 1.53 to 1.72
By:
well I think Scotty is a cert vs Dawson who averages 85 ish, Ashton is different class to Prins, Kong been playing blinding darts, only Anastasia might be dodgy but still
I think it is an odds on shot, getting nearly 2/1? |
By:
Anyone averaging 83.50 (the magic 18 dart figure) and over has a chance

No bet before the off on this first match for me. I will however be laying Wolfie nearer the time

Hope Ross the boss will be keeping his hands to himself today

I reckon Smith is better under pressure than Kong. Just a question of whether he's good enough to put him under pressure.
Quite a few of these dodgy under pressure. Adams always was well dodgy, but since he's crossed the line his experience helps him. Durrant and Smith to me look the 2 who can hold it together best. |
By:
who wins this thing?
By:
Durant for me.
By:
Jeff Smith seems a tricky character
By:
I'm still holding out hope that Prins brings her A game and gives Ashton a scare.
By:
before it started, I thought Scotty Dog had a great chance this year. but I'm far less convinced after watching the games so far.
By:
Ashton looked amazing but at such a short format anything can happen really, wouldn't get too involved.
By:
Prins looked that good, if not better during some of the Zuiderduin, but then her double trouble kicked in
By:
Can't see mitchell winning it but at least he's convinced me that he can actually play darts this time round. He's been shocking in other years.
By:
How people knock the BDO still beyond me. Terms of sporting competitive its in a league of its own, 8 remain in mens, I think all bar dawson cud win it, plus the womens shud really heat up now
By:
Yes I've been surprised by the quality of those left in it. But it has to be said they are a right bunch of journeymen, can't help but be a bit disappointed there hasn't been a young sensation sweeping through the field.
By:
Mitchell now 1.19, been backed heavily. Surely he'll trade higher?
By:
Been some very decent darts too joe. Yesterday was fantastic.
By:
Probably due to Dawson being consistently pish thus far.

Yes I wouldn't back Mitchell to beat anyone on past years viewing, though he has impressed this time round I still wouldn't go near it.
