The BDO has lifted all bans.
Therefore any playing wishing to enter Q School is free to do so. Those who do not gain a tour card with the PDC are free to return to the BDO fold, (and still play in the 8 PDC Challenge Tour Events). What's to lose? It's a Win Win situation for all BDO players. P.S. The last name on the current list of Q School entries- Dennis Priestley ![]() |

dear god dennis, go and enjoy the rest of ur days

By:
Maybe his days playing darts are the ones he enjoys most Grant. It's hardly hod carrying in sub zero temperatures is it.
By:
too many are simply not good enough and lack confidence to go to pdc
90 too low an average to win anything in pdc comps money for old rope top 4 or 5 in bdo bunting was always good enough to go Robbie green.......not so sure.......but maybe....... jan dekker would really struggle........ |
By:
This Smith fella could get into the worlds via the regional qualifiers easy enough imo.
By:
Many players can run up a sequence of 16/17 darts per leg, then you run into an Anderson or van gerwen and you know the race to 6 legs in a pro tour event will go tits up. The draw kills players at times.
A quick aside...Heydon went to Vegas and was chasing the last remaining spot to qualify for the world matchplay. He only needed to win one match to guarantee qualification. In both tournies he got drawn against Phil Taylor. Talk about bad luck of the draw. ![]() At one point Taylor came close to forfeiting the match as Pip was screaming so hard for her man. Hahaha ![]() |

robbie green would be making a big mistake going to pdc
you need bottle robbie-and dont just give in might help you if you put your missus on mute cant help that..... |
By:
on what ive seen of durant
if he can settle the nerves just maybe he could give it a go in pdc nice throw-not a lot can go wrong with it.... |
By:
durant would do well for me
By:
Non of the bdo guys would cut it in the pdc now.
Norris , mitchel, kong, durant and wilson are all not good enough. They would make it into the top 32 at best after the two full years on the circuit. Adams would have raised his game had he went a few years ago but is too old now for a full circuit. In his prime he would have been a top 6 player perhaps. Waites should have went about 3 years ago and might have lost his chance now. He should still take the plunge and hope that the change revitalises him. At his best he would make it into the top 10 in time O shea might have raised his game as he always played well with a good athmosphere but he too has lost his chance. Decker is probably the best hope now as he is a decent player ,is young and arrogant, loves the stage and is finished his studies i think so will have more time to devote to it. He could blossom and become a top 16 player in a few years. The downside would be i would imagine the pdc crowds wouldnt take to him and savage him . |

By:
That's utter nonsense.
92.83 - Tournament Average PDC. 88.10 - Tournament Average BDO. Not as big a difference as many would have you believe. Of those you mentioned Mitchell, Adams, Durrant, Green all averaged higher than the PDC (as did others). |
By:
I think all 4 would do well in the PDC. The likes of Mitchell would probably never be world champion, but he would still earn far more than he does in the BDO. Whatever he did in the PDC, he can always call himself a world champion now.
By:
Some players improve, some get worse. Impossible to say. If Mitchell can change the way his darts enter the board, he'll get far less ricochets away from the t20 target. His finishing and single dart shooting is top class.
My instinct tells me James Wilson has the most potential. |
By:
all those players have a chance in the pdc, wont be easy as dog eat dog but these players can compete with likes of andy smith, ronnie baxter, wayne jones etc.. all players scrapping around the top 32 point.
By:
Bunting was getting written off 18 months ago.
By:
fwiw Mitchell would be bonkers to switch imo. Hes not quite got the game Bunting has who is a genuine top 10 pdc player(where the real money is). He could perhaps switch and scrap out a reasonable living but would imagine being World champ going to get him some better backing in bdo.. can add bit more for exhibition fees too.
He should stick with BDO as a big fish in small pond. |
By:
If Mitchell stays he could win several Lakesides assuming it continues.

By:
Didn't you say the same about Van De Pas this time last year?
By:
yes
By:
Suppose it depends on what you count as success in the PDC
By:
Dekker is garbage, no chance of winning anything meaningful in either code. Kong is an early round winner only.
Wilson and Norris could both do well, the former in particular. |
By:
Lost to Jim Walker today, may not even get a card
