Darts world cup - First 2 places E/W 1/3 odds all bookies?
Seems this is the only darts tourny where bookies tighten the place terms from 1/2 to a 1/3. I looked for a field of similar odds/runners and found one where half the bookies go 1/2 or 1/3 odds for e/w places and it's in the Mens french open tennis with 2 short favs and a host of rags. Darts - Holland 6/4, England 7/4, then 7/1, 12/1, 25/1. First 2 places e/w 1/3 odds. Tennis - Djokovic 13/10, Nadal 11/8, then 20/1, 20/1, 20/1. First 2 places e/w 1/2 & 1/3 odds. I'm non the wiser...Anyone out there got the answer why the e/w terms vary? |

For an opening round match of doubles and a short race to 5 legs, Denmark look well over priced to me. South Africa at odds against v host nation Germany also worth a punt. Lastly, the Japanese pairing to see off Canada. Sporting best priced all 3.
Denmark @ 4/1 1pt South Africa @ 13/8 1pt Japan @ 6/5 1pt |

Under 2 hrs to the start of the Darts World Cup and my St George flags are flying high!
This looks like being the quietest Darts tv tourny ever for posts on the forum? Hopefully pick up by the time the big guns play tonight. Done me nuts on NO 170 Checkout, and the Huybrechts again this year. I couldn't believe they're as big as 25/1 sporting, and 27 bf. (33/1 last year). Although England (Lewis & Taylor) look to have a dream draw, @ 6/4 gen they're a massive swerve for me. I don't fancy them as a pairing and the last 2 years they've rode their luck. 3rd time unlucky? C'mon England! I'd sooner back Scotland (Thornton & Wright) @ 13/2, and I have. 1st Quarter Winner - England (South Africa) 2nd Quarter Winner - Finland (Wales/Denmark) 3rd Quarter Winner - Belgium (Holland) 4th Quarter Winner - Scotland (Japan) 1st Semi Winner - Finland 2nd Semi Winner - Belgium Winner - Belgium 25/1 Runner Up - Finland 125/1 Selections. Main Outrights: 2nd 1/4 - Finland 125/1 E/W Sporting & 130 bf 3rd 1/4 - Belgium 25/1 E/W Sporting & 27/28 bf 4th 1/4 - Scotland 13/2 Win SJ & 7.6 bf NO 170 Checkout @ 9/4 vic Small stakes Outrights: 1st 1/4 - USA 250/1 E/W Sporting 2nd 1/4 - Denmark 300/1 E/W Coral 2nd 1/4 - Wales 40/1 E/W Sporting 3rd 1/4 - Spain E/W 250/1 Sporting 4th 1/4 - Japan 250/1 E/W Sporting 4th 1/4 - Canada 200/1 E/W Coral Good luck everyone ![]() |
