Well after a bad day yesterday the fayre doesn't look much better tonight with a number of strong odds on pokes. Hopefully there's a bet or two out there but I'm not particularly confident in anything.
Colin Lloyd v Beau Anderson:
Opening match sees forum fave H20 take on the qualifier Anderson. Lloydy has been very average for a few years now but now and again he does still play to a decent level. Trying to predict when those times are though will send you mad. Anderson got his place here by winning the Oceanic Masters and I remember he played ok v Andy Hamilton in a australian tv event. Match odds look about right but I'm taking a small chance on Lloyd being able to hit 3 maxes.
Recommendation: 0.5pt win Colin Lloyd over 2.5 maxes @ 5/6 (365)
Zoran Lerchbacher v Ben Ward:
Probably 2 of the bigger unknowns here sees austrian Lerchbacher take on Ward who plays on the PDC challenge tour. Honestly haven't got any view at all on this so hopefully others might know something I don't.
Recommendation: No Bet
Vincent Van Der Voort v Matt Clark:
Another fairly lacklustre match sees VDV take on Clark who plays at a world championship for the first time since 2010. VDV is very inconsistent and hasn't shown much on tv for a long time. Clark on the other hand has only ever won 1 match in the PDC world championship from 5 attempts so he's not some young unknown who could be anything. I think VDV will win but I'm not convinced he will cover the h'cap or the max line so not gonna risk any cash.
Recommendation: No Bet
Michael Van Gerwen v Lerchbacher/Ward:
Unless something miraculous shows up in the qualifier I can't see anything other than a MVG whitewash here as odds of 1/100 in the match odds suggest.

Simon Whitlock v Ross Smith:
Final match of the night sees Whitlock take on another qualifier from the challenge tour in Ross Smith. Whitlock is starting to flatter to deceive more often than not for me and I'm still not convinced he hasn't got ulterior motives in some of his matches. As such I hate betting his game's as something doesn't sit well with me at times. He'll probably leave himself about 8 attempts at a 170 outshot though so might be worse bets out there than that. He should win though as I don't rate Smith much at all but he won't be seeing any of my cash.
Recommendation: No Bet
Summary: Looks a seriously underwhelming night to me and 1 small bet in the first is my lot. Hopefully others might have more inspiration but looks like it could be some tedious matches in store.

Why? You didn't know they would go 1-0 down. If you did, you wouldn't have bothered putting that bet in place in the first place?
Because you would have been confident of cashing out at 28..
i was more than happy to cash out before the goal, which is when i put the bet in, but i didnt get matched till after the goal, at which point the odds was 28
+2.5 might just about be a bet here I suppose
I've laid 3-0 but it's against what I think is my best judgement tbh.
HH, I would suggest laying MVG most 180s at this price.

you got matched as the goal went in, and the price flew up from 6 to 28... you had it on 'keep'. It's a quirk from having a prematch bet. If it didn't have keep, it would have cancelled it.

Learn the lesson. Don't have 'keep' turned on if you don't want it to be.
Betfair said i got matched after the goal yeah, i thought the keep option just did not cancel it at the start of the match, as in keeps it in play as opposed to cancelleing...not keep it even if a team is 1-0 down!
It just keeps it, until it's possible to be matched, whatever happens. Suspends don't cancel it.

Never hit 2 good scores in a row really, chances to put pressure on Whitlock in the legs but then threw 40-60 and Simon would free up and hit a max. Shame, wp winners. Top night, not financially though
