HH - looks like we're thinking along the same lines as there's no outstanding bet.
As you suggest, on a rare good day, Lloydy could make that 5/6 look inept but it's far from a very confident selection as he's so erratic. Don't you fancy the double with Whitlock highest checkout (at 1/2) turning that 5/6 into a 7/4 poke? That's with Sid James & £3.65. I think I'll throw a stray few quid on the 14/1 for the Whitlock 170 as well to punctuate the impending tedium...I don't think much is gonna happen tonight unless Vincent has his shooting boots on - and that's a longshot! I'm out for a pint tonight but I'll be keeping a stray mince pie on the action (the fanny as well as the darts) - hope the sound is muted too so I can't hear Pykey ![]() |

Don't trust Whitlock at all mate no interest really this early. He's usually good in longer matches for high checks mind.

Winning a qualifier from 128 players with the standard of darts these days has to give you a massive chance against someone as inconsistent as VDV.
Matt Clark used to be a very steady scorer a few years ago and World Champs losses have been against King, Painter, Taylor, McGowan (the year McGowan was brilliant and averaged 101 v Taylor) and Scholten averaging over 90 in 4 of his 6 matches with a lowest average of 85. No shame in any of that. These prices are wrong and judging by the qualifier win Clark may be near his best. Max stakes for me at the 9/4 mark on Clark. Worth noting that Clark has a good solid action and isn't overly quick. A decent start should make his price tumble. Greatest concern for me is the 1-3 H2H deficit. |

Lerchbacher seems a pretty reasonable player and he's played a lot of competitive darts this year (off the tour) to a decent enough standard. Got quite a lot of info on him and looks like he's a little better than most of the qualifiers we've seen in recent years from that neck of the woods. Averaged mid 80s in the qualifier final v Suljovic over 14 legs.
Don't know a whole lot about Ward but his results are quite solid (beaten Jan Dekker three times this year for what that's worth). Backing Lerchbacher at 2-1+ can't be wrong. |

Clark basically had one good day's darts all year and it just happened to be in the qualifiers.
VDV really seems to like Ally Pally and has got a pretty solid record here for someone of his rank. He tends to throw more maxes here than elsewhere which is a sign he's comfortable in the surroundings. His form's ok despite a pretty mixed bag in the GSOD. He missed match darts not so long ago v MVG in the Dutch Masters. I'm looking to get with him on the handicap. |

Cant see any upsets tonight
lloydy winners interview be nice |

I think it's a good thing that his last effort was his best of the year. I have no interest in form from earlier in the year. In decent nick, is a decent player, in a short format is not 9/4+.

Think Van Der Voort to cover the handicap at 10-11 is a play but a night largely for watching.

Petersen love-in still going strong!

Punching the board is just part and parcel of the game Dave

yeah those 88 and 85 averages show a star is born Silver

HH, that was a great quote. |

Lloydy has came out with a load of memorable quotes Lori but I think that was genuinely my favourite. Punching a board and making your hand bleed then describing it as part and parcel of the game was legendary

By:
Brissy with an Evs money treble and Rod saying he wants a 9 darter and a 100+ average from MVG
I truly despair |

By:
They can all make 9 darters HH

Let's rave about Lloydie because he threw a shape or two there

I'm not on Lloyd unders but when I am it's very annoying the way he looks as if he's going for cover every time when he sets himself only to ram in a 60.

He'll probably block you like Aggers did to me.
