Not sure if i'll be on here tomorrow, so getting this done now.

Grand Slam of Darts - Day 1
I was well made up for Deano winning his match against one of the current form runners in Kim Huybrechts.
A well likeable fella and it's good to see him back to what he does best. Still no reasoning as to why he ditched the mighty Def Leppard walk on, then faffed about with a few other tunes, before walking on to The Killers - Mr Brightside.

Edward Hankey's running out of tv appearances, but by the sight of the bats under his eyes it might be a good time for him to concentrate on the exhibition circuit. A genuine one off talent on the oche, not forgetting he's a 2 times World Champion!

Other 1st day highlights:
Michael Smith showed again that he's more than capable of holding his own against the big boys. A natural thrower who doesn't seem to get fazed by the bright lights and he occasion, like other youngsters of a similar age. (Just took this off planet darts) Smith hit legs of 11, 12, 14 and 13 darts to storm to victory over a stunned Chisnall. Absolutely incredible!

Mark Webster storming to an impressive win over Newton, and looks like there's plenty more to come from him.
Wes must be wondering how it all went wrong from a comfortable looking 2-0 lead and missed doubles to go 3-0 up?

Whitlock's forever seeking out the 170 checkout. Funnily enough, reminds me of the time we had a friday super 6 darts league and i'd be trying to leave a 170 checkout every leg (prize money for the highest checkout each week) Grin

Anderson was mighty impressive in his win over Harms as he averaged a genuine 107, yet still trades @ 50 on BF. Watch out Taylor!
Lewis stumbled across the line, as did mvg. Taylor on the other hand showed the top boys how to win matches with a ruthless 5-0 gubbing of Kellett and the highest average of the day, a whopping 112.

Painter snarled to a loss over Nicholson. After the pleasantries of handshakes all round, when approaching the table Painter again snarled and had words in Nicho's ear. Wonder if Nicho uttered "How's yer luck?"  Devil

Missed the opening match between Thornton and Walsh thanks to Sky's love in with Tiger Woods and his fellow band of Justin Pipe paced golfers. It actually got me thinking (for a whole second!) Why do golfers take so feckin long over a shot? Not the odd shot, every shot!

Got proper annoyed when i missed Ted's walk on (as the red button still wasn't working?)

That's about it. Mugs acca copped, handicap double crawled over the line, as did several others. Plenty of losses as well, but overall the pot's building up for both BDO & PDC World Champs.

Day 2
Another mugs acca to get the ball rolling; Newton (win or bust), Chisnall (win or bust), RVB, Lewis, Taylor.

Also some 180's markets, but waiting for more firms to price up in the morning (lazy bastards!)
I'm still unsure who's pricing up first, as only 2 bookies have prices, and 1 of them is blindly copying the other!

Come on Ted, give us a golden performance/something memorable in what could be your penultimate match on the box.
I don't care what anyone says about Ted, i rode in a lift with him and he was the ultimate down to earth gent. Gonna miss characters like him on the oche Sad

P.S. Always good to see Bobby George on tv, but no Maria? When Bristow was World No'1, he was asked about Bobby challenging his No'1 spot, Brissy replied with something like "he'll make a good world No'2" Laugh

Mugs Acca: Newton, Chisnall, RVB, Lewis, Taylor @ 2.96 boyl 2pts.

Roll on 1.30pm and hopefully no ****g golf to stop our Darts viewing pleasure Love
