If I was to go on a snooker table right now having not played for a long time I would struggle to do 50 breaks, if I practiced for a week I'd be doing tons again .. it's all about practice at these sports

schalke, how many hours do u play at darts? what do u do to practise? do u play against someone or just practise by urself?

I think I was probably not terrible at tennis. Didn't play much and wasn't going to be winning anything, but got the impression I could beat people who would batter me at other sports.

Ran a five minute mile once. Though that would be a comedy sketch if I tried it again, not sure I'd do the five minutes, let alone a mile.

I just play myself when bored in the bouse, I don't practice as such, just have a wee throw now and again ... I either just do my own 501's or do around the world, thats it .. bit of fun

darts i have to play every day to maintain my level, snooker I probably wouldnt get an 8 break if i played tomorrow, pool I can play without any practice to an ok level, but easier game I suppose
By:
Lori
When: 11 Jan 13 21:48

itfc ... and thats why some players are better than others, they know how to practice, some don't

One thing I've found with golf is that I can use my brain (such as it is ) to save a shot or two in some situations. In darts you either hit it or you don't to a large degree!

Golf is a hard game to practice, usually you just play a round ... no opportunity to play a chip say over and over till you are good at it

I'll hit 200 3 footers when I'm in the mood and keep the score too!

Wade is good at hitting the bottle over and over is he not?

BDO wise apart from a few at the top there isnt much between a 1,000+ players, and I mean that

Just about who can get moe practice time, who can get the sponsors and travel the circuit to get the ranking points etc

That does make sense itfc, even watching this, it's clear the bottom 16 are all about the same here. I can imagine the time at the board is everything when it's that close.

Would I get anywhere doing 17/18 darters? Obviously not all the time ... sometimes it a couple extra darts, my best ever is a 14 darter
By:
Lori
When: 11 Jan 13 21:55
Do 18 darter every time and you'd reach the semi finals of this.

However it's likely you do far more 27 darters than you realise.

^^ Deffo ... don't keep track of the bad legs lol, just like in a snooker match the only break you remember is the 100+ ones lol

This could have been over by now but just as easily could've been 3-2.

Waites is at half speed here and seems to be lacking the rhythm he usually plays with against faster throwers - I thought he was superb against MVG in the GSOD.

Well, my darts is not too bad, as I said, it's the doubles that let me down ... not bad at hitting the 60 all the time though, should practice my double more eh, but I don't play people so not really any need I suppose
