Beaton probably has one of the biggest 'ranges' of the top 32 - you just never know what he's gonna do!
He can score AND finish really well but it hardly ever seems to coincide...even the odd occasion it does, his averages are always blown through a clutch of missed doubles. He could scrape through this and serve it up in the next round to Wade who always looks beatable at long odds-on - he really can't play worse than this! |

He had a good think whether or not to go for that double 16 to win the set. Possibly thinking about setting up a more favourite double on the assumption Beaton was highly unlikely to hit his double with 3 darts.
