kjp is in no immediate danger of dropping out the top 32, but in no danger of getting back in the top 16, given how the 'rankings' are on prize money (a ranking system that is completely stupid but thats by the by)

I quite like the look of Barney at 5's.

Looks a different player atm.

MVG is great, no doubt. But I never feel comfy with him. I think he can catch punters out easily. Will look dominant for a while, then out of nowhere, when it's completely unexpected, he will play the most godawful game of darts imaginable.

treble - I'm with you on that one...it's hard to forget most of his normal/moderate form over the last five years!

I think the pace of the game will suit both of them (Waites should not be underestimated as he thrives on such games) and MVG isn't exactly as consistent as Taylor, so you never know with him.

I hate to agree with Rod Harrington, but the advice he gave about Waites in the outright market is reasoned thinking.

Barney looks to have rolled back the years last 2 matches. Bet when he's behind again tho his usual sulking starts

I think over the line on maxes in 2nd match is a stonking bet. Waites especially has been battering the trebles all week long

It'll be different when he plays somewhere warm.

Personally think it'll be different if someone gets in front against him and is playing well

That too I suspect!

Carries on playing like this HH and falling behind wont be a problem.

Very true mate just cannot see it. Played so poorly for last 2-3 years I think this is a bit of a flash in the pan

1.10 looks horribly short given what they're both capable of in the other direction.

What's this new "Has to go for this " BS they keep spouting?

Its this weeks pivotal Lori. Lost count of the amount of times they are all saying it

Another massively irritating 'Gwynne-ism' that really gets on my tits..."into the meat of the match" - fcukin' ****s! Angry

I take it RVB didn't get the call-up by Gillette to take over Tiger's role in the ads ?

Wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised to see Barney revert to type tomorrow...especially as he'll be up against 'big-balls' Andy Hamilton who could grind him down with his power finishing.

As good as Barney was then, I though Kist really dug in and would be a grand addition to the PDC - he's played better here than he did at Lakeside.
By:

When: 17 Nov 12 20:24
kist doesnt quite score heavily enough to beat the top players at their best

that said though but the a few missed doubles it could have been closer

He does show a lot of tenacity and for a relative newcomer who's still young, that augurs well for Kist...been very impressed with him.

Despite all the dick sucking going on, he's only averaged 100

Admitted that he got tired too, wouldn't bode well for a long semi and final.
By:
Nilsson Schmilsson
When: 17 Nov 12 20:32
will he get the taylor style preferential treatment and get to play first ?
By:

at least he wont have to rely on being in the final of the poxy world cup to get an invite here the next 2 years now Silly

Mardle getting better at maths, predicts a 159 average will drop

Waites NEEDS to play faster...he ain't clicked yet!
By:
Lori
When: 17 Nov 12 20:40
If you'd never seen these two before and heard they were 12 years apart in age, you'd pitch it at about 31 and 43
By:

When: 17 Nov 12 20:44
not sure about that lori.

if you have a proper look at van gerwen he does look like a big baby.
By:

When: 17 Nov 12 20:45
although i suppose you're probably right by virtue of waites dragging you way higher.
By:
Lori
When: 17 Nov 12 20:45
Yeah, he's babyfaced... but overall I don't think you'd clock it.
By:
Lori
When: 17 Nov 12 20:46
and yeah, that was where I was at, you'd struggle to put them at 23 and 35

bald blokes from 25-45 can look very similar in age, especially when unshaven

Lori - Not sure Barney will have the stomach for Hamilton!
