Might have a look at this. Lincoln's a bit of a trek from Merseyside but always good to find somewhere to take the kids.

Although if Dowsett doesn't win this I'll eat my hat.

Dowsett 1/8 with Paddy's looks more than decent if you still have an account.

I've done Luke Rowe 14/1 and Tao Geoghegan Hart 50/1

Why is Yates so short in that market?

Problem with betting on this pre-off is you never know which SKY riders are going to make the break. Don't suppose you have an up to date list of riders who are taking part do you? Main site is useless for withdrawals. Would have thought James Shaw would have been a good outside bet but he's not priced.

There is a climb near the middle of Lincoln that is appparently very close to the finish and its up to 10%. There are several cobbled sections as well. I'm guessing the climb is why Yates is favourite. I'm hoping the cobbles will suit Rowe.

Can't find a book still carrying it that I can get a bet on with..

Watching the womens race the climb looks no problem, it's so short that Cav should have no problem getting up it. In fact the climb in Glasgow where he won the title was considerably more testing.

On that basis I'd probably have a small tickle on Cav & Fenn.

Lizzie Armistead wins the womens NRR, good to see her back and winning
Report marychain1 June 28, 2015 1:01 PM BST
Can't see Cav getting up that climb and staying in contention if Yates or anyone else is there
Report CJ70 June 28, 2015 1:18 PM BST
Agree with that, but SKY aren't going to be taking Yates to the final climb if they can get away with it.

If Blythe goes up the road with a SKY rider other than Kennaugh then there's going to be no chase I'd imagine.

If it all stays together until the last climb I'd be having a cheeky few quid on Thwaites.

Mens pictures live. Shout if you see any book taking this in play.
Report CJ70 June 28, 2015 1:37 PM BST
No Yates in the break with the mens faves. No Carthy or Edmondson either?
Report CJ70 June 28, 2015 1:39 PM BST
Edmondson there.
Report CJ70 June 28, 2015 1:56 PM BST
Rowe, Kennaugh, Cav, Blythe, Thwaites & Stannard. Can't see the conti's coming back to them.
Report marychain1 June 28, 2015 3:35 PM BST
Rowe and Cav back with Stannard and Kennaugh. Come on Luke Rowe!
Report marychain1 June 28, 2015 3:35 PM BST
Have to say Cav looks as strong as I have seen him in ages

Some shocks all round Europe:

Steve Tronet wins France NCRR (Auber 93) after Bouhanni crashes so no French Champs Jersey in the Tour
Emanuel Buchmann (Bora-Argon 18) wins Germany
Valverde wins Spain
Terpstra wins Holland

Cavendish riding Kennaugh off his wheel. Incredible ride from Cav this, win or lose.
Report bb66 June 28, 2015 3:59 PM BST
Haller wins in Austria
Report bb66 June 28, 2015 4:02 PM BST
Rowe already having a 2016 contract with EQS?
Report marychain1 June 28, 2015 4:05 PM BST
That climb at the end was a bit too much for Cav but he was so strong there.
Report geoff m June 29, 2015 10:54 AM BST
What a day . Fantastic race. Cav rode out of his skin. Must had admit I thought the 3 sky guys would work him over and he be cooked well b4 the final climb.
Superb stuff. Great to see Kennaugh/ Stannard and Rowe in the TDF Sky team.
