Hi marychain,I know you are genned up on the various tours, and would like some info. if poss. There was the most fantastic multi-section waterfall cascading down on stage 17 approx 5.5k from the finish. It was the most beautiful waterfall I have ever seen, and would go to Spain to see it if I knew where it was.Hope you can help,if not  perhaps you could advise where I can find the location.Thanks.

Stage 17 finished in A Coruna, so it could be near there somewhere. I don't remember seeing a waterfall on this stage, sorry, and I don't find much if I google waterfall and A Coruna. There is a waterfall in Neda, on the Belelle River, but this is nearer to Ferrol than A Coruna, so more like the middle of the stage than the end. I think there is also a waterfall in Carballo called San Paio waterfall but I don't think the stage passed it.

Here's the link to Stage 17, so if you are sure it was about 5.5km from the end you should be able to find it by comparing the stage map with google maps. http://www.lavuelta.com/14/es/recorrido/index.html?e=17

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but it's not an area of Spain I know that well.

Thanks for the info. They didn't ride past it ,the helicopter showed it,and it was high up,which made it so attractive.Imagine 3 or 4 streams close together cascading down the mountain into the river,it really was a spectacle.

If you put A Coruna + waterfall into google images you might see it, and be able to find it from there.

Many thanks marychain,I have found it.
Cascada do Ezaro at Fervenza,I think Fervenza is the place name ,as it was on the photo.
Absolutely fantastic to see so much water cascading down. That is one of the reasons why it is necessary to watch these big cycle races like the Giro,Vuelta,T de F,seeing all those amazing scenes.
I am probably going over the top ,but this massive waterfall is really something special.

The Grand Tours are such amazing adverts for their countries. You never see an advert from the French Tourist Board on TV. They don't need to, they have a month long advert every July...
