First match and they're off for rain. Are they playing this competition in the wet season if so it could turn out to be a lottery ?

The over rate in this comp is worse than test matches in England and now they're off now for bug fumigation !

Just seen that ridiculous run out decision in the India v Pakistan game. Seems the officials don't even know the laws of the game Cry

Then to compound the appalling umpiring, had India in fact reviewed the lbw shout in the first place the batswoman would have been plumb with the ball hitting halfway up middle stump Laugh. what a farce.

Women's "elite" sport at it's finest.

Huge prizemoney but empty stadiums

Three matches in a row, England, Australia and now India waking up after losing 6 or seven wickets. India have not won yet but it looks very likely. The top 5 batters have been really poor.

I thought Australia were certs to beat anybody over 50 overs but India pushed them very close the other day and played very well so I'm not so sure now. Too short for me.

... oh and England atre 6 down in 11.3 overs. Good, straight bowling by Pakistan but woefull by England. It ain't a minefield ! Grin

Let's see if Pakistan can finish better from here than they did against Australia.
Report TheCarambaExperience October 15, 2025 11:53 AM BST
That should have been a seventh. What a miss!

There's number 7!
Report TCat October 15, 2025 12:22 PM BST
Let's hope they get back on as England don't deserve to get away with a draw. They've scored 25 runs in the last 15 overs against perfectly straight slow bowling.

just back the oziies whatver they will win this  im on for a big ish bet fot me

They were 1.74 when I first looked a couple of weeks ago and they're still 1.69. I'm still worried about them getting stuck on the wrong end of DLS but, given they've qualified for the semis, it's probably better than any odds on shot you'll get on the horses this weekend ! Grin
Report TCat October 18, 2025 3:55 PM BST
I should add the first semi is scheduled for either Guwahati or Colombo hence my concern over DLS. The chances of getting a full 50 over game at Colombo seems negligible hence winning the toss is critical.

India playing an extra bowler but, Deepti accepted, they all look pretty average. I shudder to think what Sciver-Brunt will do to the girl with the headband if she get's in ! Grin

Amazed they went so short for such large amounts as a run a ball is no gimme in the ladies game; assume it was enthusiastic home support Grin
