Feel envious you guys talking about downing the good stuff and certainly brings back memories from my drinking days , unfortunately was diagnosed with Cluster Headache syndrome in May 2018 and the verapamil and such i take means strictly NO alcohol , so over 7 years since i've touched a drop.
Don't give it much thought now but have to admit being sorely tempted when dining out , thankfully i've the willpower to say no. |

People were smoking cigars last night and I desperately wanted a chug, even took two Henri’s home but I know I must not smoke. I was on the Johnnie Walker Gold Label last night. I am not a whiskey drinker. I really enjoy a drink and like a good ale or Guinness. I think I could live without it if imposed on me for health reasons but the reminisces would be tough. You have my deepest sympathies! |

I've never smoked either WD so considering my apparently clean living feel unlucky to have had both Cluster and Pancreatitis over the last few years , i can probably vouch for saying near enough the two most painful conditions out there.

Sneaked into members at Taunton in 2000 and saw Atherton and Ganguly put on 192 for Lancs in a one day match. It was a scorcher and recall the ale was both excellent and reasonably priced. Be interested to know how much it is now for a pint at Taunton.

Perrie Edwards was the singer i believe Dragon, another expensive waste of cash befitting of The Hundred.
I watched a bit of the women's game and couldn't believe how short the boundaries were, they were closer to the square than the crowd ! a pretty underwhelming final by the look of it. And as for not reviewing that LBW shout, words fail me. |

Hayden, you are probably wise not to drink with your headache issues but i thought it was ok to do so when on Verapamil ? I thought they were basically similar to Amlodopine which i have been on for high BP in recent months, my GP says it's ok for me to drink alcohol whilst on them (in moderation of course).

Well done to Hants Hayden, bit of a choke by the Yorkies there but just goes to show what keeping the pressure on can do.
Also congrats to Worcs for stuffing Somerset, they have been a surprise package this year so should be a good final, just hope the weather plays ball on the day. Of course the Gillette/Nat West final used to be this equivalent weekend or the following one, having to wait until the 20th is all wrong and yet another reason to detest the bleedin' Hundred ! |
