Be really quite something if Smith could make a 40+ here, in this exact sitch.
Doesn't get much more tricky than wickie for 120+ overs then come in, with the tail, after your team has just gone 14-4. |

I think everybody realised the pitch is changing and scoring runs would become more and more difficult. I did not expect Roof to onshore such a loose shot bug did from Ducket after getting to 100.
The pitch is not a mine field yet but everybody’s mind set has changed. Would really like Pakistan to get one more tonight and then load up on England and the draw tomorrow. I am sitting pretty right now but there is always the fear of having your money on Pakistan from a winning position. |

Well have loaded up on draw because even if it's not the prices are so big that you can make a lot and risk hardly anything. Still lots that can happen in 3 days and if Pakistan can bat England out the game I think they will try. A draw for them is a result after last week. But it's all guesswork so take the big prices and enjoy and you don't have to get stressed.!!

Well, they're tailenders for a reason so I shan't be too critical of Carse there.
He looks fairly tidy, though, so it's more disappointment. England relying on Pakistan having their x successive sub-200 2nd innings dig, now. |

Pakistan were too short at 1.40 but market feels about right just now, given Pakistan's recent history.
Hard to conjure too many plausible paths to England victory just now, mind you. 180 in the fourth feels massive, let alone 250+. |

Crucial session. Pitch seems ok today so Pakistan need to bat for over an hour imho. Double jeopardy for England is if they do run through Pakistan they will have to bat at the end of a hot day.

Why does England find it so hard to take the last 2 wickets in test matches? It has been going on for years against all teams on all surfaces. I know that balls get soft etc. but this has been a feature of the team foe ever. I would love to see data on the percentage of runs given away by England for each wicket in Test matches compared to other sides. |

Seems like the batters are in and the ball is soft.
I did expect a little more from the pitch in the last session. Still time for that today. The Smith drop could well have changed the course of the match |
