True - hoping to nibble back on England bit by bit.
Messed this up somewhat - good shape on day 1 then got greedy, thought I was long past that weakness. Ah well, periodic relapse from time to time, but this is not too bad. more of an annoying position. |

What might happen?
1. England get 400 and bat until 11.30 tomorrow. Draw favourite. The scoring is going to very slow if Root is no taking singles. 2. England get out tonight with either no lead or only 10-20 India and Draw equal chance. 3. India score quickly tomorrow and end the day 300 in front. India favourite, then draw. |

thought he was gone without the inside edge...could be a nasty little mini sesh for India ...would almost rather concede 15-20 and start tomorrow though obviously can't play for that
|

By:
must admit I'm surprised draw isn't shorter at least
|
|
By:
Finally take the lead.
|
|
By:
Draw has gone from 3.5 to 3.25 in the last hour. Still the value bet. Very easy pitch to bat on.

10 overs left after thi sone , unlikely to get them all now unless Jadeja bowls

Or stand around until 6.30 and have their dinner.

3 overs max now for Ind even if wicket falls ...probably would be only two

Where are the fielders!

Jimmy desperate to get off 0.

What a farce.

was that tactical ? - made sure India couldn't face an over

By:
don't think it was but the effect was fine

Bad luck Jimmy. At least he does not have to bat in the morning.
|
|
By:
last over he takes a single, then refuses a run with anderson

Great day of Test Cricket
|
|
By:
So punters still think that England will bowl India out in 90 overs tomorrow and then score enough to win. Good luck with that.
|
|
By:
Yes at least Joe could have let Jimmy get off 0 and that might well have extended the innings until tomorrow.
|
|

Fix on here? 20 wickets in 180 overs on a nothing track? England batting last when the pitch will be at its absolute worse? England needed a 100+ lead if this is ever going to deteriorate. I've got to lay this price.

Raining here, can’t believe it because it wasn’t forecast so I looked on radar and yes, it’s moving towards London! Looks like weather forecasters have cocked up again

Very sunny earlier this morning but now grey again

I agree the bet here is to lay England but the risk is high too. There is cloud again. Prices will be flying around on 4’s Nd wickets. If you have manoeuvred a healthy green you will being in a good position to take advantage of the wild fluctuations. If like me you have not then you will be sweating today and racked with stress
![]() 4 results still possible. For me the best outcome is for India to bat strongly, bat England out of the game, take an early wicket or two and set up a run against the draw. That is too much to ask for I fear. I thought the ball might spin from yesterday but not by Jadeja. We shall se what Moen can do. The bounce will be uneven and while difficult to score runs, batting for time will be easier. Men round the bat and pressure can change things but Ashwin not Jadeja is your man. |

Forecast shows sun breaking out 12 ish for a few hours, hopefully makes batting a little easier..
