Sad state of affairs when the public are forking out £135 a ticket to watch a days play.

Officials afraid of England getting another wicket and bottled it.

@barstool
Somewhat counter-intuitively, methunk, tickets for Day 5 were on offer yesterday for only £20! |
|
By:
Stupid from Kohli as fast bowlers and new ball will probably rip through tail tomorrow could have milked 20 or 30 tonight which would have put a lot of pressure on England

it's evident floodlights have no purpose in a cricketing context which is somewhat oxymoronic given why they are supposedly there

not sure about that VV, you seriously think non inplay markets are somehow more astute ?
can't say I've seen much to convince me of that |
|
By:
pre game football markets and NFL I would say that of...

I'm only talking about Test cricket here and just saying that provided nothing too extreme happens, such as a total batting collapse or someone scoring a double-century, it's not as rare as you'd expect for the end-of-day odds during one or more of the first few days of a Test match to revert back towards those of a previous day, despite the intra-day chaos whilst an "average" day's outcome plays out in an uneven clumpy way. It's still rare enough to seem "uncanny" but when it does happen you can often see that the day's play advanced the game roughly as had already been factored in. But that's just saying that on average things happen in an average way, so it's not much of a claim.
In-play markets generally seem more erratic. You can often get matched at a silly price on the Draw in a thin market when a crucial wicket falls and trade it back at half the odds or less only minutes later. You can hardly call those markets "astute". Pre-game football markets on the other hand definitely have everything known already accurately priced in, so I don't argue with them. Haven't a clue about NFL, though. |

Windies traded as low as 1.13.
Pak have been as low as 1.17. The Draw even traded below 3s. Whoever wins someone is going to be mighty unhappy! I even saw the Draw get matched at 200 shortly before dropping below 10 during yesterday's rain. |
