Hussain made a point of saying how smart Conway was to change hands on the bat while at the non strikers end either side of the wicket. These are professional cricketers. You should be learning stuff like that when you are 11.

I was there Friday and saturday. Pathetic from England but had great fun drinking with pals, thankfully won enough money on England to cover tickets, beer and travel money.

yep brentford any time there's the slightest marginal decision (this time it was clearly a huge mistake although obviously pretty academic given our woeful batting) jack leach is always left out. he's not a world beater by any means but a decent enough test match spinner averaging under 30. it's the message they're sending out to him as well that basically we don't think you're any good but then they'll expect him to take wickets having destroyed his confidence

same happened with Rashid; even when they played him Cook wouldn't bowl him. Seem to remember him bowling Root instead when they played in India.

100% England Cricket has always been about politics and who face fits and whose doesn't.

So this is the first time NZ have won a test series in Eng since 99. That was the first test series I ever watched that didn't involve SA. Great memories. Roger Twose, Caddick, Mullaly, Tuffnell, Fleming
