under 16s not allowed, yet upgrade child ticket for adult ticket, the under 16 can gain access ?
![]() |
By:
Exactly. In my book it can only amount to either breaking the COVID guidelines or disgraceful ripping off of punters - and very likely, both.
By:
It's like under 16's are the ones going to hospital with covid
![]() I've given up expecting common sense from our rulers |

This Conway bloke needs a couple on the piano fingers. Getting too many.

By:
200 for "fingers"
Well batted son. |

Wrong Bloody Test.
My Apologies. Getting so old I need some lead in my ear! |
By:
Interestingly, Edgbaston are NOW saying that Under 16s will not be able to attend. And even those who upgraded their Under 16 ticket to an Adult ticket will not be admitted!

It's all to force the serum on the kids Jack Hacksaw
Edgbaston just a small piece of the playbook |

You can catch all sorts sitting in the Hollies stand.

By:
Only been to Edgbaston once but I saw greatness
Freddie Flintoff hit one to his dad in the crowd.......and he dropped it. |

Was that day 3 in 2005 Whispering? I was at day 2 of that epic match. Warne bowling Strauss with one that pitched 5 feet outside off stump is one of the greatest things I've ever seen live.
By:
I thought I had dementia strontium. I am not sure but I don’t think so. I will endeavour to find out.
I also think you might be getting Strauss mixed up with Gatting and the ball of the Century? |
By:
No, Warne bowled Strauss at Edgbaston in 2005. Gatting was 93 at Old Trafford. Well worth a look if you haven't seen it/don't remember it.
By:
I’ll look for that too.
By:
That Shane Warne ball to Strauss at Edgbaston in 2005 was one of the most amazing deliveries I have ever seen.
Well worth a look for anybody who hasn't seen it. GLA |

I'm going to the 1st 2 days. Having watched a fair bit of the 1st test I'll be backing new zealand.
By:
Be careful old chap. KW might be out, Stone might play, Leach will p,ay, England might win the toss. Lots of if’s and buts but if England ba5 wellon day 1 you will be behind the 8 for the rest of the Test.
By:
True, and if the opposite happens, I'll be ahead. That's gambling i guess.
By:
They also say the first innings score isn't usually the highest in the match but the side batting first usually wins....they say!
By:
Kane williamson out, new zealand out to 3.25. Gonna back them i think.
By:
I really can't call it so will wait and see. I do expect a reaction from England and the English attack. Foreigners usually lift their game at Lords. Edgbaston is well suited to England but I guess also to Boult, Southee and the big lump.
By:
Morning All
With only very short break between the end of this match and the start of the World Championship Test Final it will be interesting to see what the NZ starting line up will be. I do expect some changes from them. I also expect a better performance from England on a ground where they usually do well and i believe the inclusion of a specialist spinner this time around is a must. It will be a good toss to win. As far as betting goes i'm in the wait and see camp. Whatever you decide GLA |

By:
Irony of irony that NZ are using this as a warm up for The Big One!
I wonder how England feel about that. I hope they are angry and ashamed particularly after day 5 of the last Test! |
By:
No place for discrimination in our sport
.... from the ECB Players. coaches, officials, supporters ![]() Why did the Umpires drop their case? At least the crowd had the good graces to applaud the phoney statement with genuine sincerity! What do they know of cricket that cricket only know! Well done Edgbaston! |
By:
draw price very short, very rare to get draws in England without massive amount of overs lost to rain and no rain forecast
By:
How are you feeling about your NZ back at 3.5 laying?
That took me by surprise too! |
By:
Morning Tom
Are you out of quarantine after your Thailand trip? |
By:
30-3?
Even without Southee? |
By:
yeah expecting early wickets
By:
330.5 looks a lay!
By:
looks a belter of a pitch!
By:
I think you are right. See off the new ball!
By:
Glad Stone is playing. I think he might be part of the Ashes or rather an important part.

By:
At least NZ get on with the overs. 8 in 35 minutes is far more than England could achieve.

careful bob, hamlin might be along soon to scare you off!

Yup quickly log into your other account and i will be off before he bores me to death...

think they're going to regret not having Leach, this pitch will get worse under the baking brummie sun!
