Kiwis are unimpressed with this..have to play this WC final at Lords shortly and would have,at the very least, been expecting to have some first class team to play against..instead get this heap of sh1te

may as well just have flown in on the eve of the final against Virat and his boys!

They've changed the venue for the final to Hampshire because of covid.

before the 1st test remember root telling journo,s england wanted to win everyone of the test matches before the ashes
he,s now decided sharing any session in any test will suffice,
we,ll leave winning for another year

This team would lose 5-0 in The Ashes. The cupboard is looking bare at the momentCry

I was there Friday and saturday. Pathetic from England but had great fun drinking with pals, thankfully won enough money on England to cover tickets, beer and travel money.

Need to find a few batters from somewhere or we'll get walloped in the Ashes.

had all the ingredients to be an exciting game of cricket going in to Eng's 2nd inns but our top order as becomes wearingly familiar put paid to that...

NZ showing the depth they have which we don't rather worryingly considering our relative resources...

the likes of Stokes, Woakes and Butler will undoubtedly elevate the side but the top order is in absolute chaos currently regardless of availability and team selection leaving out Leach on a dry surface with temps projected to be 26c on day 4 remains almost laughable even though largely irrelevant as it turned out.

yep brentford any time there's the slightest marginal decision (this time it was clearly a huge mistake although obviously pretty academic given our woeful batting) jack leach is always left out. he's not a world beater by any means but a decent enough test match spinner averaging under 30. it's the message they're sending out to him as well that basically we don't think you're any good but then they'll expect him to take wickets having destroyed his confidence

same happened with Rashid; even when they played him Cook wouldn't bowl him. Seem to remember him bowling Root instead when they played in India.

fair play to the Kiwis for chasing down such a massive target
Eng are a formidable side(maybe in a parallel fking universe they might be and even then i wouldn't bet on it)

100% England Cricket has always been about politics and who face fits and whose doesn't.

So this is the first time NZ have won a test series in Eng since 99. That was the first test series I ever watched that didn't involve SA. Great memories. Roger Twose, Caddick, Mullaly, Tuffnell, Fleming GrinGrinGrin
