Wtf is wrong with Anderson?
Why has he been off the field for an hour?
Can't bowl for 45 minutes?

Panties in serious danger of coming off along with a few loose wheels here
you almost have to forgive Pant his reckless dismissals when he makes meaningful contributions that are such game changers with the regularity he has in his career to date
not quite sure why Leach didn't bowl more in the fist 80 overs - feels at least a 6/7 over spell short
agree with that but as he matures he will be even more dangerous. I think he realises he could get a good one with the new ball but quick runs will not only take the game away from England but break them. Even Sundar has got the message. England been completely out thought during whole series. The wheels are falling off.
the heat's done 'em up like a kipper..toiling like fk
Hang on lads, all was going England's way today up to getting Ashwin out. This one stand has turned matters completely (and probably irrevocably)
He needs to be arrested for that!
I hope to God he gets his hundred this time!
I hope to God he gets his hundred this time!
Ironic Pant is only in the side after India got bowled out for 36 in Aus, had a long tail and needed to strengthen the batting! Someone in selection doesn't like pant, might even be Kohli for all we know.
His wicket keeping has improved as well
His wicket keeping has improved as well
Christ almighty!
What is wrong with bowling your number one spinner?
Glad he got this hundred with a SIX!

X Factor..game changer same as in Oz..a player that thrills the crowds
No shut down in India, remember the crowd last week? Where have they gone?
even the Indians, steeped in cricket, couldn't stomach watching the anti cricket of England
Well, I've had to cough up my 250 wedge, considered cashing in when ahead, big mistake.....................
He is actually a controlled thinking hitter of the ball not a slugger although when he hears his hundred he tends to go Hollywood!
.....at least I resisted the sore temptation to lay India at 1.36 (1.14 now)
Is this the first 100 since Joe's double in this series?
You just know that when The Engerland bat the Princess of Wales Land Mine Trust will be called into action!
host commentators suddenly interested in slow over rates....don't recall that getting much mention in the 1st test day 4 ( #just sayin')
India look miles stronger than they did a few months ago. Pant has become a brilliant player, and the trickier the conditions the better he seems to get. You would also have to say that India have been better off with this set of bowlers, they lose some quality in the bowling, but their tail is 10 times stronger than it used to be. A big part of that 1st test loss to Australia was the lack of tail resistance, especially in the first innings when they had a decent platform.
Englands inability to bowl dot ball after dot ball is frightening.in games and times like this, let the pitch do the work, let the batsman do something different.why the constant need to bowl a different delivery every ball.they need to learn this is test cricket.
Very true about India tail. That is why he was brought back. I didn't understand how they could have left him out of the first test in Aus. I was convinced Kohli didn't like him.
comms not really reflecting the story here, Leach was having perfectly decent deliveries 'Panted' in that 1st game ... Bess was struggling in SL despite wickets column and at home last summer to find any consistency
Dont know why Leach was bowling around the wicket and not into the rough
'bout time 3rd umps told it as it is " Yeah, he's smashed the f'ing cover off it mate "
Cannot believe how poor England spinners are at times. Not sure the6 could pitch it on a bath mat let alone a sixpence!
India didn’t target Bess Swann, he just bowled filth!
isn't it amazing how often with a stand that looks like you have no chance of ending, ends in an innocuous, self inflicted runout
Goddam
I wouldn’t say heart breaking but that has got to hurt poor Sundar
What a fine Test kwality batsman he is

can't see Eng getting under 450 here then skittling India out to draw the series..easy sometimes this game
All credit to the Fascist leader of India and former Minister of Gujarat who presided over the murder of hundreds and did nothing, this is a great cricket venue.
Can’t see England getting to 200 Johnny
They have no idea of their scoring areas
They have no idea of their scoring areas
Ashwin rips one huge in the first over and they all sh!t themselves and get out to straight ones
Bairstow's a right little t0sser
was a different wkt laid down in between inns?pathetic and then Eng send in a nightwatchman ffs

the ghosts of Chennai have fried their public school brains
worst thing england did was win the first test
worst thing england did was win the first test
they sure as fk ain't been in any danger of winning the ensuing ones!
even Eng batting ain't quite as dire as that Tel
but the 4 byes won't get rid of the little c@nt in a hurry unfortunately
Levy and Lewis need to go
surely u could buy the Yids out Tel with what ur making on here..only cost u a lady godiva

Levy needs to go alrighthavent traded fk all since chennai...been a complete train from what ive seen
on the bright side only 9 days til cheltenham
Bairstow should never play for us again, that shot was fooking filth
these hanjobs should be made to quarantine for a 100 yrs when they get back!
Filth, fooking filth, Harry Favershams the lot of them, send the White Feathers
Gotta feel sorry for channel 4, we finally get some test cricket on terrestrial tv and theyve ended up showing more frasier than cricket
the highlights are longer than the day's play when Eng are batting
These lads will be pleased to get back home to the allotment, they should rip up the potatoes and practice batting on it!!
65-6 ...Eng putting India under massive pressure now
This is just torture. You are not going to survive. Just gave a dart and get it over with.
Since Root won the first test, save for the odd decent bowling session, it has been a complete embarrassment.

Batting really is under the microscope.
I am sure it cannot be easy but these guys are highly paid professionals and have the best resources and money in the game. England could afford to send the batting unit to India for a week to face India’s up and coming spin bowlers.
You have to put questions to the batting coach.
What I could see was they could not pick length. Simple as that.

I like the cut of young Lawrence jib. I think he will make a good number 3. Pope will be ok on grass pitch.
Yep, Lawrence certainly a small bright spot,
Foakes despite often looking quite decent ends the series with only one contribution of note which despite his excellent glove work leaves Jos very much looking the long term keeping option especially with Bairstow having a mare in this series.

fairly predictable 4th inns effort with the wheels nowhere to be seen,
suspect 4-0 was the most likely series result so we can take some positives at least
to be fair if India prepare pitches that take the draw out of the equation they are going to have a helluva of a win ratio no matter who they play.

the question is..how many of the England team would make the Bangla team?
i wouldn't let the fkers back in
i wouldn't let the fkers back in
Well walofs that was!
Just finished a SIX month ban for absolutely nothing..... again
I'm keeping well clear of the grasses on politics from now on, too many limp wrist lefties on that forum

you're ressurected dude
can't say anything these days that runs contrary to the opinion of aforesaid
Kohli gonna be under massive scrutiny now in India after that pathetic showing by India ONLY winning by an inns and a meagre 25 runs!

I don't know what the batting coach is doing.....again
You have got to defend your stumps against a leftie on pitches like that
If you nick off fair play but too many LB's and bowled from arm/straight balls

Root coming out with the same BS platitudes..change the fking record
Batting coach needshooting!
Tbf if was a pretty tough examination.
It just struck me that the batsmen did not have a clue hot to defend their wicket and even less on how to score.
In contrast this morning the 21 year old Sundar looked World Class when batting and had all the time 8n the World to score at will.
England did not know how to get back and use the crease or how to get out of the crease to smother the spin.
Good lessons learnt I feel that will hold them in good stead for the future. This is a good England side in the making on grass wickets make no mistake they can go to Aus and SA and win. The management and sek3ctirs need to have a good hard look at what THEY did wrong before looking at the players who I think are the best we hav3 although not necessarily in the right order p!
Nil desperandum and oh let’s take a little time to marvel at India this winter.

but this is the whole crux of the matter Wd..they don't learn any lessons they keep making the same mistakes over and over, desperately hoping for a different outcome
they're good at talking the talk BS not so adept at walking the walk
India are a v good side esp on home soil

Need to sort out an opening partnership and get Lawrence in at 3. We haven’t got a World Class spinner and that is not going to change but we do have good bowlers and 2 fast bowlers.
People are saying already wait until we get you back home on seaming wickets.....really against Bumrah, Shami, Bhuvie and now Siraj?

I'm much more optimistic about our batting lineup than I was the last time I posted
I think Crawley, Lawrence and Pope will do well for England over the next 5/10 years
Expect this batting lineup to prosper in Aus

Hi Juce, hope yer well, welcome back...
People have been at war on politics forum with someone(cant remember just now)else they are convinced is you, right royally subjected and insulted.
I tried telling them it was not you, but they would not have any of it....

Very dispriting after the 1st test ... the technique has clearly been at fault against top class spin & a complete failure by some who were well regarded before the tour started
Should be an interesting Summer as they try to rehabilitate themselves but I already have my doubts & reservations about many of these for the Ashes tour in the winter to come ...

The batting is woeful as out of the 8 batting innings from the 4 tests only once did we bat well and that was down to Joe Roots innings,on the plus side Joe won 3 from 4 tosses
yes welcome back jucel, ive also missed your posts, 6 months i got nearly 2 years for a racist comment, told them if i wasnt allowed back id do my losing with purple site, got back straight away .
roache, to be honest the batting in general has been woeful for many years now, what would sir geoffrey have made of this debacle, no wonder they wanted him off the radio

Deserved all we got after the 2nd test changing of half the team, won the 1st test then literally ripped the side up
Get them back over here, they've had a great winter they'll tell thee

Beaten inside 2 and 3 days final 2 tests
Utterly pathetic really when you think India weren't even that good

would this team playing bangladesh tomorrow done better
Legends: Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah, Philip Mustard, Monty Panesar, Nick Crompton, Kabir Al,; Sajid Mahmood, James Tredwell, Chris Schofield, Jonathan Trott, Ryan Sidebottom, Usman Afzaal, Matthew Hoggard, James Tindall.

Hoggard vastly underrated in that team
Saj Mahmood never got a fair crack in my opinion, was made a scapegoat for the 5-0 loss in 2007
Sidebottom came in to late, would have been excellent if he'd been 5 years younger

I think someone got it right in saying Lawrence was a small positive. Yes, he did much better than the rest but the odd 50 isn't going to win you a test match.
