Plenty of batting left for England.

Should have been out twice in one over! Why on earth is the spinner not bowling unchanged?
By:
Looks pretty dark

Unless England start to score more quickly, they can only win if the Windies collapse twice in 50 overs or so. I am coming round to thinking that the Draw should be favourite.

Good application from England. Boring as hell but doing the right thing. Poor from WI today in helpful conditions

Dowrich having a mare behind the stumps!

About time they were as boring as hell. Roots shot today was a total disgrace, especially as he is captain of the side. Sibley is showing the way, 30's and 40's don't win you club matches, let alone Test Matches. Lets hope he goes on and gets a big score and then that allows people like Stokes, Pope, Buttler and Curran, to take on tired bowlers tommorrow afternoon.

u missed ur vocation as a poet G with those metaphors
![]() it's what's needed..absorbing as opposed to boring application, building a platform Eng electing to bat rather than bowl in the !st test effectively contributed majorly to their defeat have the Windies doing the reverse here set themselves up for a fall(albeit conditions all day one would have assumed would favour ball rather than bat 'funny old game,Saint'. |

England did well, usually would have coughed a few up...
New ball in the morning, looks dead this deck, can't see it quicken much, at all... |
By:
Plenty of swing though.
By:
England nailed on from here. All they have to do is not lose more than 2 wickets to the new ball. Recent form: W Indies pace attack = 0 wickets with the original new ball. Win the toss, insert, end of day you have bagged 3 wickets = you have lost your bet, mate.
By:
Good day for England but need to see it through to 400 plus and not implode like second innings of first test. Bat at least 2 sessions tomorrow then hopefully bowlers prove their point at not being selected last week.
By:
Is this just simply back England and collect in 4 days??
I do intend to green up at some point in this test as I completely ballsed up last week. I was 5k green Eng and 700 red WI and draw going into day 5, stuck to my guns thinking WI would never make 200. |
By:
Like to think this will be a touch more exciting than yesterday but not so sure. Barely 200 runs in a day is back to the dark ages. Good thing there were no spectators.
Presumably, the tactic is demoralise the opposition before they start batting. Judged on yesterday that's the only way they should be getting 20 wickets in a relatively short time. |
