Windies deserve the win... but

As I keep saying, they are not to be trusted with such tricky targets

180 is a collapsible chase

Just had my dinner so missed 30 minutes. Seems to do the trick as I have only seen 3 England wickets live all day! We are getting close to my Evens each of 2 and 100/1 the draw now. Not a bad shout on day 1. I have greened out again having doubled my WI profit today.

So the last two days have averaged 95 overs and the run rates been around 3 an over. So potentially 300 runs tomorrow, while England lead is only 170.

So England need some combination of batting another 35 overs tomorrow or getting 100 runs for the draw to stay alive before the West Indies bat.

Wonder how much time wasting we will see tomorrow...

No amount of time wasting is going to save England now.

no point saying excuses , we were unprepared etc,  they were set , 400 easy on the cards no excuses for this collapse, just standards are poor

At least 3 of the top four got to 50 this time so given another year or two and with Root back we might have a team again.

My best test team for pretty much any home test match.
Archer should never get the new ball.
Mo still our best spinner...people always get obsessed with his batting, plus if Archer doesn't play we need a least one person who when the team 'takes the knee' he actually believes in the cause rather than doing it just to avoid career suicide.
I reckon england are slowly and inevitably moving towards a proper test team.

Why are Windies not long odds on then?

nothing better than test cricket, and fair play what a great test match this is, eng or windies win today, i dont expect england to score more than around a dozen runs at most today leaving windies approx 180 to win, trouble  is you just cant trust their batting to get the runs, hope they do because they fully deserve the victory.
Really have enjoyed this match, and its utterly pathetic not to let a few thousand into the grounds

the spinmaster, you tell me why WI are not odds on. The most likely winners are WI. They need 2 wickets for 40 or less runs and then score 200-220 in 80 overs. Not a difficult task surely? The market has seemed to favour England since Wednesday morning when WI were at 6 or more on here but WI have won almost every session of the match so far. Blind patriotism is the only explanation. It is a bit like the Derby market when nobody seemed to believe that a horse that was 20 lengths clear round Tattenham corner on the bridle could win-because its price at the start was 25/1. If it had been the SP favourite it would have been down to 1.1 by half way.

elis, why can't a team who scored 318 score 180-200 today against the same bowlers in better batting conditions?

I can answer that Sageform, I have backed them.

All depends on how much the pitch has deteriorated, if its still playing well then you'd expect Windies to win, if its misbehaving badly then England will win
