anyone know what happens to 2nd innings 6 overs line, im on 45+, i guess they will count even if they lose 5-6 overs

the one I was using said the same thing, in fact for two wickets it was saying 42

"For clarification in the event that the batting team does not complete their 6 overs which includes the batting side reaching their target within 6 overs, all bets will be void except if the batting team have been bowled out. This market must be determined in full for us to settle and this would mean all 6 overs being complete."

I just don't understand the rules here.

We get a 5 over game, the target is 33-35 or so. The chasing team doesn't keep batting 5 overs, they bat until they pass the score.

So if there is no more play, really this should be a game, as they have the 5 over target so don't need to bat the balls.

You need 6 overs bowled, might be an issue if the game is reduced to 6-7 overs target might be under 45

20 overs for one side + 5 overs for side batting 2nd is a game

even if it is reduced puzzman to say 6-7 overs i guess there has to be 6 overs bowled for the bet to stand

Yes, but lets say there is 60 minutes lost here. That is 15 overs.

Then we have a 5 over game, the target becomes 35.

They don't come out to bat, because they already have that.

the umpire clearly said there has to be 5 overs bowled in 2nd innings for the match to stand

Scenario.
Team A bats 20 overs, then it rains. Duckworth Lewis applies, game reduced to a 7 over game, target is 60 runs.

Team B comes out to chase, after 4 overs and 3 balls, they have made 62 runs.

Do they keep going, or is the game over because they have reached the target? Surely the game is not void because they didn't bat 5 overs?

Yeah its a weird one - basically if condition improve enough to get 5 overs in Thunder should win automatically...

That happened a few years ago (I think) where they went out to basically bowl one delivery in order for a result to stand as one team had essentially already won it. Think it was quite controversial decision; and if memory serves correct 1.01 was busted on CMM.

the umpire said if they dont get 5 overs in for the 2nd innings currently on 4.2 overs the match doesnt stand and with 1015 the cut off i would imagine all chance has now gone, D/L will only come into play if they get 5 overs bowled in 2nd innings

Surely if play clears up between innings, a 5 over game is declared, duckworth lewis revised target, team b chases and doesn't have to bat 5 overs, they just need to reach the target. No?

Everyone seems to forget that Strickers could have taken wickets in the last 4 balls and then they would of won

No, because there would have been a target regardless of wickets. No?

They needed to be 1/34 if the game was called off. If they went off and there was a 5 over game declared, the target would have been 39 with wickets no longer relevant as they would be calculated into the target.

i dont know what you dont understand, if 5 overs havent been bowled in the chasing teams innings its declared void, forget about everything else including D/L, if 5 overs havent been bowled in 2nd innings its void

why are youu still going on about D/L , it doesnt come into the equation, if 5 overs havent been bowled its void, didnt you see the thunder batsmen arguing that they wanted to stay on for another 4 balls, they are the rules of T20

i know its annoying but it is what it is, if you had a losing bet you would be glad it was void, i had a bet on 6 overs 45+ and they needed 5 off 10 but i got my stake back, just one of those things

Why are you still going on about it?

What I questioned, was that if it were declared a 5 over game, the target would be 39 runs and would be a game regardless if they batted 5 overs or not. The game would be over as soon as the target was reached.

As such, I think the rule is stupid.

That was my point. Unsure what is so difficult to comprehend about that.

I bet Ferguson and Hale in the top batsmen market. My Ferguson bet was voided and my Hales bet was treated as a loser - surely both bets should be void.

Either that or Ferguson should be a winner if they are accepting that there was a result in the game
