With the decks flattening out and MM a batting pitch anyway I've taken 6.2 and will take more if the first day is spicy!
Both teams have a sameness in the attacks (apart from Archer when he's in the mood). No penetrating spinner on either side so there should be some good draw love at times. |

NZ 2.3

Hi all,
For once England have selected a really balanced team. A throwback to past years. 6 Batsmen + a wicket keeper who can bat + 3 strike bowlers + a spinner. I feel quite confident England will give a good account of themselves. I think it will be a good toss to win. No bet for me at this stage. GLA |

I am starting with an NZ lay around 2.18 / 2.2
I would say two fairly well balanced sides. Their bowlers know what to do with a Kookaburra but I am not sure ours do yet. We have good batsmen on a flat deck. They do too. Only taken a small position on the draw at 6.6 as maybe the track is green and grassed day one but will keep the pitch together over five days despite a strong drying wind. Not sure how this goes tbf. We often underestimate NZ. We have a good nucleus. Would have liked to see Crawley get a chance at 3. |

A TEST MATCH HUUUUUUUUURRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
![]() That one can bet on No bet yet as first sessions here can be defining...... |
By:
I am going to wait for the toss and then make up my mind. To me NZ look skinny so a lay of NZ will be on the cards at some stage.

I'm feeling like a true degenerate again. Bring it on.

So sad that two tests start at once. And then the crap in India as well. For small banks like mine its a disadvantage. For example with overnight trades.
By:
I see this is the first test at Mount Mowgli. What does that tell us about the pitch?
By:
like backing the draw here. just not sure when to pull trigger. pitch may turn road be road interesting first session.

If it doesn't swing this Kiwi attack is fodder
No way England will fall for the one trick pony 130 kmph bouncers of Wagner! And Santa is dogsh1t Can't see NZ getting 20 wickets with this lineup |
By:
Southee and fat spinner are garbage too
Only Boult can unsettle England and only if it swings |
By:
Run line 325 and the draw 6.2
Plenty to work with here! |

England's new mantra is to bat time rather than being gung-ho
By:
I backed NZ at 2.36
By:
no demons in that first ball. It was a bouncer though so cannot see if any swing yet.
By:
little bit of away swing 2nd ball. But it was short of a length.
By:
bit of movement again and the edge along the ground. 4th ball.
By:
Was that Grant singing?
By:
seen enough from boult to see he may be ok for the first 5 overs. Will be interesting to see what Southee does.
By:
Probably be bowlers vs bowlers this series
hoping so anyway, because so far I've been wrong all year so be nice to end it on a high England to skittle them more than they skittle us ![]() |
By:
If we reach 300 I fancy us to win it easily
By:
saudi swinging it?
By:
southee ffs
By:
saudi is swinging it but its not late from what I can see. Just moving away with the arm but that last ball did move some
