If Smith doesn't play England win!
No rain in the forecast, draw looks impossible.
Don't expect England to make any changes, Roy looks a walking wicket opening the batting but there are no outstanding candidates to replace him.
Would like to see Denly open and have Roy in at 4 or even move Stokes up to 4 and have Roy at 5.
At least give him a chance to see if he can do something before he's dropped from the team.
There's no way he's a test match opener but he might be good in the middle order, lets find out.
Australia might give Starc a game instead of Siddle who looked pretty ordinary.

cleared just under 7grand...p!ssed about on the eng total runs market for small amounts but was mostly out well before the end....eng under 325 would have got me another £500...but more than happy to give that back just to watch that finish !!

yes magnificent innings and greatest match, but surely for accolades like spoty and everything else eng have to win the ashes.Its no good scoring 6 goals in soccer match and losing 7-6. And like it or not winning the world cup in 1 day int is not the ultimate in cricket, jason roy won the world cup and he cant play proper cricket. But again stokes innings was unforgettable, and what a shame it wasnt on bbc/ c4

yes ashes the pinnacle, but test cricket is the ultimate for any pro, today for me was a 100 times better than that world cup win. lets be honest over half that team are bloody useless in the proper format of cricket.
Must be tough enough for the Australians to lose to the Poms, but must be an especially bitter pill to swallow when a Kiwi wins the match for them

Just imagine if England were allowed to bowl with a red ball but bat with a white ball in tests, would be unbeatable.

there is talent in this windies side, but mentally theyre very weak/ soft , i hope that not classed as racism because its not intened, but i love west indies cricket since a little boy, its just so sad to see them perform 9 times out of 10 like this.

OUTSTANDING result. I thought the price at the start of the innings was insane, and I still think it was insane, but well done to those who kept the faith! Clearly someone did!

nz v s lanka final day tomorrow, my head is so scrambled with eng v aus, wi v india , and this one , i honestly dont know my p/l on the outcome, ive bets everywhere, 365, restricted though and here , nz 1inng runs, match odds , match odds without draw etc , i reckon im up on all outcomes only too small money, i,ll sit down tonight and work it out.
i was trading all day , and i layed the series correct score at 30s , and i noticed the odds on todays test was similar.
this was at 3.15 pm , it was either after the 8th or 9th wkt

I've given up trying to predict these test matches, it must have flipped 4 times per test so far

I was wondering today if this was the worst aussie side to retain or win an ashes series in eng. Surely they must be right up there among the worst? Thank goodness the series is alive. Both teams are competing against each other trying to be the worst of the two. Aus really should have run away with the game in the third innings. They didnt and paid the price.

From the graph spike it was 34 or 36 but might only have been for pence. I got a few quid on at 32. For tens to hundreds you would have got matched in the upper 20s.

@ alun You can get 1000 on Windies at 56/9 chasing over 300. Terrible value though.

Who's Mathew wade? Or more importantly, where?
Would Paine be in the team were he not the captain?
Why no starc?
I am assuming head or wade will go if Smith comes back.
Meanwhile England have just one question to answer. Who will bail us out in the next game?
And they have enough Matchwinners in their team to not bother about answering that question.

What I find a real travesty is that matches like this are denied to the masses and their non-Sky telly boxes.

all test matches in eng live on bbc, all 1 day int live on bbc, gillette cup/ benson hedges live on bbc2, and sunday afternoon jp league over 40 overs live on bbc , and every hour youd get the latest from all county champs matches on radio 2 then .
couldnt resist having a few quid on windies getting 125 at 10s

amazing performance, one bloke basically decided we wernt going to lose. one bloke said no **** you. he bowled over after over last night fighting for his team bowling on flat wicket running in and running in and running in, then the rest is history, dont forget the hard yards he put in yesterday.

tms is a good few secs ahead as well than sky, ive heard get the old radios even quicker than the digital ones

Jucel, I think you are wrong with the lbw. The ball didn't straighten but deflected off the front pad. The technology line has a kink in it and is inaccurate. Would the ball have hit? Hard to determine, quite possibly umpire's call.
