Hard to see even England throwing it away now. The pitch seems very placid now.

the pitch has played pretty well all day...it was a great spell of new ball bowling by archer & woakes in particular

Considering it has been a bat first and win the game England did exceptionally well.

Been a fantastic performance, bowling out Aus for 220 odd on this runway

After their Sri Lanka wobble and Australian capitulation, England have gone on to effectively win three semi-finals.

I think England deserve to get to the final as they were under pressure and delivered when it counted. NZ a bit lucky but I'm not writing them off and will lay England to start if that's the final.

bat 1st win the game is bollox

it was a fresh pitch today & 2 pitch reports suggested it was 1 of the better pitches we've seen this event...lessening the benefit of batting 1st

not the dry filthy slow turners we've seen a lot of, particularly in games involving 1 particular country

hence the aus drift was all the smart people accommodating this win the toss win the game bollox

Shirley he has to open in the Ashes?

I know he does not open in first class cricket but I have seen enough and I guess so have the Aussies. No saying he will be a brilliant opening but but we get to 80-3 with him in the side rather than the usual 30-3!

I can almost agree with that apart from what the stats say. Money for a team means nothing. I'll have to check above but did you say that at the time?
