worried about the declaration? I make the line about 605 at the moment 140+465 but problem for bookies is when will Kane pull the plug

All depends on the scoring rate. I am happy backing the lines up to about 625 but after that it becomes a lottery.

NZ and India have similar approaches at home.
Produce good wickets where they can grind the oppo down
If you make minefields then it becomes a lottery.
India did that for a while and came unstuck a few times + it was affecting Kholi's averageGrin

ie they make pitches where there is little chance they will lose 20 wickets.
NZ haven't lost 20 wickets at home many times in recent years

sounds like a sensible policy if you ask me. Although NZ did produce seamers a few years ago. I can remember Laksman, Dravid, Tendelkar etc not having a good time batting over here.

600 runs at 2's is starting to look interesting. So NZ are going to get 100 per session so will get to 600 by tea tomorrow. Think they might bat after tea if required. So if punters keep offering 2's I might take them. If no declaration threat run lines right now would be 656.

My thinking is that Taylor, Williamson and others will probably bat a bit quicker than these 2 as well. Keep in mind though that the 600 is not baked on yet but if another 30 runs with no wicket it going to become tempting.

no need to cheat in the second innings so they might bat properly

In fact with the draw so high they might be told to make some more cash for the brotherhood

400 by stumps, surely they bat a couple of session tomorrow with fat spinner feasting on the fodder

I have a big lay in at 1.04 waiting for it to be matched. Wonder if it will happen this session.
