The rain in Wellington can be weird. Wellington itself can have a micro climate. Hard to really know what will happen. It can be fine at the Basin and raining north of the city in the hills which tend to hold the clouds. We shall see.

It will not be mizzle tomorrow. Look at the windspeed temperatures. It will be blowing quite a bit which means it will also blow over/and or dry the pitch/field a lot quicker.

Yep. Funny how regret works. I’m completely cool with having left all my earlier lays in, including some quite large ones in 8s and 9s but I do feel a bit sad I set up £500 at 4s just before I went to sleep. Still leaves me over £2.5k on results and nearly £4k draw so pretty happy overall mind.

Also regret not taking that grand at 34s I stared at for a while. As blackcap says, it’s hindsight bias. Oh and thanks all for the thoughts when the draw got down to 5s.

I'm just grateful to have level greened at draw 7.8 having lad to substantial red at draw 25. I could so easy have kept hanging on for a wicket that never came.

At this state the weather looks ok. Forecast for rain later in the day. Where I live 40km north of Wellington it is raining right now but its coming from the south. Draw out to 1.27

If SL pull this off it must go down as one of the greatest escapes.

I cannot believe the draw is still available at 1.18. Even if we have 30 overs, Sl would have to be bowled out in 25 for there to be a result. That seems a tall order after what I witnessed yesterday. I guess one wicket may be enough to set the ball in motion and that is what draw layers are banking on? Met still expects southerly with a bit of rain around midday.

My biggest win ever at 800 bucks beating the 700 i made in the Eng Ind test in Sep.

Christmas has come early for detraveller and its a green christmas.

Quite incredible really what Srilanka have achieved. Could easily have drawn this without the rain as well.

Ive backed 325+ at 3.2 but looking at the radar seems its wasted money

I had no bets today. Last one was a draw lay at 3.7 (had thought it was 4 but obviously thought better of it) set up when I went to sleep night before last. Feels like I should have made something out of the rain but I already had my green mostly on draw.

Three tests coming up next week: second one this series; Boxing Day Aus India and SA Pak. Will try to do some ground and weather research for all of them.
