Not nessercelery!
On a well grassed pitch the grass can die and effectively flatten out. This is what is happening here. Usually the grass also stops the cracks opening up but it would appear the cracks were open fairly early with the heat yesterday. I am not sure the cracks will not open up towards the end of the game. Aus bowled really well for the first two sessions. India respected that and did not throw their wickets away. All very confusing as is the respective prices. Auss still well ahead with their runs on the board! |

No swing either for OZ. India got a lot of movement. Bumrah's slinging action helps of course.
I still think Starc will find some swing as this ball gets older. |

Proper gripping Test cricket, this!

"Aus only beaten the bat 13 times today" INCREDIBLE!

wow what an amazing performance from India. The way Starc and Cummins opened up earlier who'da thought it!
I always felt India had a chance to get back into this game twice at prices at 10 and today 9. I didn't get on it unfortunately the way Aussie first up anything approaching parity looked a long way off. India are still a long way off but the Aussie bowlers looked tired by the end of the day. Aussie could well be under pressure when they bat not to give the game away. I still think Aus are favourites to win this. New ball crucial tomorrow. |

Draw is a great trade at this point as I can think of a couple of live draw scenarios

Whilst we're on stats!
India bowled 90 overs Day 1. 16 Balls would have hit the stumps! |

Absolutely, India bowled far too short and wide! When they did pitch it up Harris played really well and didn't miss anything. Kohli hit plenty of full deliveries straight to fielders today.

I've managed to get my red from 100 to 230 now. Could have cashed out for 30 green before going to bed.
I had this fear of the pitch flattening out but thought Aus bowlers would do much better than they ended up doing. |

Draw price looks pretty big just now. Should go in a bit then back out once they get into long Indian tail.
Pitch will eventually break up and wickets will fall but kohli is set now and could go big |

Surprised by the India driffy.
Oz need 17 wickets to win and will need to score 250+ second dig. |

Back to evens after 1k green from pre match draw lay. Just got greedy and really thought the pitch was unplayable. The Aussie team were saying they think the few showers yesterday softened up the ball and made it easier to bat... I'm considering another lay of the draw, as I think the new ball will bring wickets and they'll get through the tail quickly. I also think it will be tough to bat day 4 and 5.

WINVIZ says result odds are assbackwards. Tend to think 2.50 each is about right...

This has been some great draw trading opportunities, 1 week after jucel walked away
though he might be trading |

Could Australia be in trouble by the end of the day? I think there is a remote possibility, perhaps tomorrow morning. Apart from the fall of the wicket India doing very nicely this morning. The outfield will quicken up too and when tired bowlers are still throwing it down at 140+ there will be runs!
I agree with you bunsen. I think Aus must be favourites whatever Winviz says. You can algorithm all you like but you can smell when it is going to swing whatever the science says and you just know this pitch if going to be a beast some time soon. |

We are going to see a flip flop soon! I guess Aussie bat next. Maybe punters do not want to be on the batting side.

Dont you just hate that. Was about to say how well Vihari was batting and how well he was organised. Comms called the pitch a road!
Id it the 5th of November? I don't expect this to last long now! |

That Pant is out there with his Alpha Male captain might mean he reins himself in.

If we reach 1/2 way in a test match and the 1st innings' have not been completed then draw has to be on table.
