I liked Jos just casually stepping aside to let it hit.

Considering they’ve promoted two bowlers, it’s a bit rum they’ve got a guy with a SR under 100 in at 7.

I am tempted to unload a couple of k at 1.06 here. This is such a dead chase.

Okay, can’t let 1.07 by although only done a k.

Yeah, I have them on 101 pace.

Am now a bit stressed though, which tells me I shouldn’t have done. My head says this is a 2% chase at best.

23 runs behind where they need to be.

1 good over, and you would likely get 1.20 or so.  Probably would have waited, more upside only a wicket brings it down further, quickly.  IMO

So have gone with my head. If I lose £3k at least I backed my judgement. I reckon market recalls miracles when they aren’t that common.

Took 1.07, 1.08 and now 1.18. Oops. I was just betting where I thought the value was, not after a trade.

Yeah, I get that, but looking ahead an over, only a wicket bought the odds in, meaning you had an over to not risk money, and likely get better odds.
Was just an opinion.  Of course, a wicket, and you would have missed the bet.  Agree that you got value with all of those, just that you likely could have got more value.

I took the 1.18 too!

You’re probably right about picking time to take a risk. Even a very quiet over couldn’t have shortened them very much, I suppose. Generally just after a wicket not a great time to back fielding side unless another goes, as you say.

Hmm, the times when a direct hit is bad fielding.

It’s slightly bad luck for the fielding side but it’s also bad judgement. That’s a terrible ball. Short isn’t ideal anyway but certainly not wide too.

Odds are going big one way or another here.  Moment of truth.

You get 124 then .. and the market doesn’t notice that the good bit has been outweighed by the bad now.

Don’t like the 2s though.

Perth have hit 4 6s in the whole tournament ftr.

On a different surface I’d have some real worries about this being within a few good and a few lucky hits but this isn’t one where you should give away any 6s, unless you bowl terribly and it’s enough runs that dots are brutal for the batting side, singles pretty bad.

Defending more than 12 an over, why would you not be on the rope? It’s not awful to give away the odd 2 but you can’t be letting it over your head for 4 or even 6 when could have been wicket

Not a bad over for the battinvg side but still a fair way off the rate.

Dot balls are huge here.
By:
BJT
When: 02 Jan 19 11:11
I have them 16 runs behind where they need to be.  Was 23 about 6 overs ago.  10 is there biggest over to date, really just shouldn't happen.  Realistically, 1.02-1.03 is where they are.

Both of those bats right now have the highest strike rates of the game, must mean something!

Now at the point where singles are also huge for bowling side and even 2s are good. Close to snookers needed.
