Lancashire were deducted one point for a slow over rate ( vs Yorkshire I believe). Serves them right- slow over rates are a blight on the game ( at all levels ).

Essex have made their way up from 1.05 to evens
have to bat up midway through tomorrow for the draw to be in with a shout. would lead by something like 200 by then. not sure how fussed essex would be about going for it if it came to a chase at say 5 an over. they'll finish 3rd whatever and both sides probably be happy to shake hands at the earliest opportunity
