Sky were probably hoping Somerset vs Surrey would be the title decider.
By:
Last week i checked the listings and there was supposed to be a game covered on sky starting on the 18th so i re checked today and lo and behold there is now no game probably because Surrey have already claimed the title so i have checked for the 24th and there is supposed to be a game covered but its anyones guess if its going to be a promotion or relegation game as everything might be virtually settled by the penultimate round of fixtures.

surrey v essex being covered apparently
the deadest of dead rubbers |

More at stake with Warwickshire vs Kent.

Comcast are taking control of Sky soon and being yanks they might say why are we investing in cricket.

Lovely way to promote conty cricket this, newly crowned champs currently 62-9 no wonder Indians have no interest in btting on these games.

about 6 totals under 80 just in recent weeks. must have been many others too. essex won a game after getting knocked over for 50 at the start of the season
By:
My entry was £50 win Surrey at 1.98 when they were 2 down.
Essex currently showing this is far from a minefield. |
By:
suppose you're always taking a chance backing a side the match after they've won a championship or got promoted

What a signing Murali Vijay is proving!....get a man with ability who may feel wronged and you're often onto a winner.
By:
the oval is rarely a mindfield, the ball did a bit this morning but surrey just didn't apply themselves with their batting
By:
looks like lanky might somehow survive now if they can scrabble their way to 300. if it happens will have been a spectacular collapse by notts. think they won 3 of the first 5 games
By:
lol then they lose 3 wickets for 0. rather sums up the woeful standard of batting in the championship this season
By:
relegated by 27 runs???
By:
they'll be going down on fewer games won as if seems likely they win and notts lose
By:
Lancashire were deducted one point for a slow over rate ( vs Yorkshire I believe). Serves them right- slow over rates are a blight on the game ( at all levels ).
By:
that's right. be 2nd year in a row relegation has been decided on a deduction for slow over rates

£58.65 Green Essex
£682.51 Green Surrey £358.37 Green Draw Would be lovely if Surrey could somehow win this game (I dont know how) coz I have done over £500 on womens cricket since saturday ![]() ![]() that £5000 Essex lay of 1.05 at declaration was a good trade. |

£500 lay at 1.05 ^^^^

If you are patient you can squeeze some nice wins out of thin county markets....I shall miss them!

"Would be lovely if Surrey could somehow win this game (I dont know how)"
I DO NOW!....Surrey racing along and there is an outside Surrey could win this game which is absurd from where they were. Still got over £700 Green on them. |
