they have to be out of the groove. It's a nonsensical rule anyway. As soon as they light should be suffice for mine, they aren't suddenly going to fall back in the groove when the keeper cleans them up.

I think Cox batted better both games, the second especially but 2/12 is a good enough bowling performance on its own to be considered, especially with Lancs looking so well paced to win and that the wickets were Lilley and Buttler.
