Draw has been very tradeable since yesterday. One of those "volatile third outcome" matches where the two likely outcomes move steadily whilst the third is all over the shop.

Ban look to have this in the bag. But Aus will probably take it into tomorrow with some rain forecast.

G'Day VV. English weather in Perth today.
By:
Ha - it's raining here in London. Perth winters are pretty mild, I assume.
Which Asian weather site do you trust the most? |

I'm pleased to see the WA boy Agar do well. I wasn't sure he had what it takes to play Tests.
By:
Will they keep him for The Ashes though?
By:
I use yr.no and the Accuweather satellite, but the satellite images all come from the same 1 or 2 satellites.

Will they keep him for The Ashes though?
I've asked myself the same question. Second choice spinner. Probably not. But a much better bat than Lyon. |
By:
Will you be staying up for the Windies chase (assuming thy survive beyond lunch)?
By:
Probably not. Although I'd like to. I enjoy a tense last day chase with all 3 outcomes possible.
By:
That dodgy no-ball decision yesterday probably ruined WI's chances. A more reachable target would make this a better fifth day. If they lose a couple of wickets early they'll probably just dig in for a draw or collapse trying to block it out. Mind you if that no-ball had gone the other way they could easily have been put in earlier and be four down by now anyway!
By:
Aus look like they will take the usual 'take the game to the opposition' approach to hide their weaknesses against spin. With the target not that big they might even pull it off

very good very good.........

After that second wicket...
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |
By:
I have settled now with an equal green. Will look to back Bangers again if they trade 1.8 or so. With a smallish target you never know.
By:
These two could make it look easy but its about that delivery that will have their name on it.

same as..........

Woke up and seen Bang got 221 lead of 260,highest score in the game batting last no chance. Aus 28/2 easy then 81 run partnership Balls!. Need early wickets but market always been with Aus. Will see how it goes just wish I left some low Bang trades in. Still in the green but will hold on to it until no more

I didn't understand the Q either. tyco161 29 Aug 17 04:40 What do you mean the market is so ahead Trainy? what i mean is the market cancels all the money out the market when there is a wicket, where are they getting the data from is it a data source or radio? |
By:
It could just be that you have slow pics? Or people just listening on analogue radio... pretty much the same speed as being at the ground if you can trust the commentator... :)
By:
Trainy - your bets are set to have a five-second delay anyway, even if you had a real-time feed. This is to give punters with a slightly delayed feed enough time to cancel bets before people sitting at the stadium with a laptop can take advantage of them. Any bets still left up will just get hoovered, even if it's only a handful of people at the venue, so the market is nearly always in synch with the action. What you need is a premium account, then just go to "settings" and change the delay from plus five seconds to minus five. You'll still have to beat their reaction times, but at least it gives you a slight edge over people watching the live action who have no delay in force when they cancel their bets.

How does one get a "premium account" VV?
![]() |
By:
I think he was being ironic.
By:
Wasn't the "premium account" a thing on this forum a few years ago where some people thought it was a real thing? Anyway will be an interesting chase for these last few runs if they can get them.
By:
Aus 5 down. Will be close.
By:
8 down 66 runs required.
By:
Aus 9 down 37 required

A tie would really P me off.

GSM Banga

By:
Well done Bangla. Their spinners were better.
By:
Gutted really this wasn`t on at a better uk time. Had Banga all the way through and had to reduce the green. Still won a bit but should have been more
By:
Batting first was Massive I feel, pressure to chase. Expect the same wicket again next time

Premium accounts have not been spoken of in public for a very long time. It's disappointing that you should bring the subject up. They do not exist, you know this, i know this. Let's keep it that way VV and no more mention of this folly. You have been warned........... ![]() |

Excellent test for me, although even this and a few other decent efforts this week haven't remotely recovered my recent losses. Had the Bangles all along and kept waking up to find their position improved while I slept, even on day 1 where 50/3 or something looked okay as a getting up score given they'd won the toss. Took a tiny fraction of my green off backing Aus from 8 down at the end (glad I didn't put some on at 3 before Maxwell out, which I did think of). I got a nibble of 15s before Lyon hit a 4 first ball and then had to take 9s but still won £3k.
By:
Well done Bangladesh
By:
yep they're a useful side at home these days and much improved away. got 500+ in new zealand and still contrived to lose and think they won a test in sri lanka recently too
By:
Oh yeah sorry - forgot we're all keeping schtumm.
Anyway, the point I was trying to make was that maybe with the right hack into the software the guy could change the delay from +5 seconds to minus 5 seconds, so he could have a chance at beating the spectators armed with laptops at the event itself. |
By:
Good to see Aus following 4th innings protocol.
Rule Number 1: look like you might win. Rule Number 2: fall in a heap Rule Number 3: rally Rule Number 4: lose. This has been the pattern for nearly all of test match history, which makes Windies' triumph so special. |
