I have to say that there is some interesting emerging talent in the IPL this year.
Pantyman Nitesh Rana from Mumbai Tripathi Samson maturing Then you have the Pandamen from Mumbai too I wonder if the old Indian guard should be replaced. I think they should personally and en masse although I think the Champions Trophy is in England and that might be difficult for these young batsmen. The likes of Dhoni, Dharwan and Yuvraj even a favourite of mine Rahane should be looking over their shoulders. I say give these young guns a go! |

I didnt follow this match tonight but I reckon the change of innings odds would have had Kings XI as massive favourites? Im going to have a stab and say around Kings XI 1.28 v 4.40 Bangalore?

I am however going to disagree with Freddie Wilde who is a well known statistician on social media. He posted on Twitter , "KXIP's total of 138 is the lowest score successfully defended at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The previous lowest was 146. #IPL" I stick by my theory that it was 152. I have just gone back and looked at all matches played at the Chinnaswammy stadium and couldn't find a match were 146 was defended.

Best I can see is 156 defended. This season Match 1 : RCB defend 157 against Delhi who got 142 - Top match score Kedar Jadhav 69 Match 2 : RCB scored 142 against Mumbai who got 145 in 18.5 over thanks to Pollard after they were 5 down for about 40. Match 3 : Pune defend 161 against RCB who got 134. - Top Match score 31 by Tripathi Match 4 : RCB scored 134 against Lions who easily got it. Match 5 : KXIP scored 138 against RCB who got 119 -top match score 46 by Singh. No team got a big score. Compare this to last year where virtually every match 190-200 was scored and often chased down. |
