Don't really know the difference between dull and gnawing but i'd guess it was one of those two. Never had surgery. Think they ruled it out by x-ray. I was surprised by their diagnosis but doctor said it affects people in different ways. First time it happened I'd had the pain all day and then it disappeared "just like that" but came back in the morning which is when I went to A&E. Bowel obstruction would, I think, make sense. I drink a fair bit of red wine which ensures I do the biz regularly. It rings a bell that on the two occasions I hadn't done the biz - but that may be the power of suggestion so not entirely sure.

Pinch yourself again and again. This match was completely out of the realms of reality. After the ICC - who hadn't considered it fit to have a reserve day for the final - added 75 minutes to the rainy day to accommodate 20 overs in the final

The clouds just receded at the very last moment and they squeezed a game in!

Would do for bowel obstruction, especially if you stopped passing anything per rectum for a while (sorry all for making you think of Charlie's rectum). Can be relatively subtle especially if it's partial and you won't always pick it up on X-ray. A lot of doctors don't seem to think pain is a major element of obstruction so can think it isn't obstruction if there's a lot of pain but it certainly can be very painful.  My son has had obstruction (or at least I'm fairly sure thats what it was - tests were almost all normal) and was in horrific pain from it - one of the most upsetting experiences of my life, in fact.

Pain would come in waves for that though.

Off the true topic of this thread, Charlie's health, was a bit baffled by the way SRH kept lengthening as the game got reduced in scope.  Surely the shorter a match the more random it is and closer to a coin toss.  I suppose you could arguably say that the three gun RCB batsmen would be more effective in the shorter time span and the lack of depth matter less but seemed to me that I had to keep backing SRH although given that I was then £3k in on a coin toss, I'm somewhat relieved in a way there was no game. Didn't have enough time to look at radar and take any view on CMM but see that jucel continues to coin it in.

Getting to the time of year when rain becomes more frequent in India.

RCB's strength is perceived to be their batsmen and their weakness bowling. Shorter game means more emphasis on big hitting where they held sway. Saying that I thought SRH should have been favourites all along and had also been backing them.

I know there wasnt a match on and we all got a bit bored but did we have to move the topic onto Charlies rectum !?

I do get that but even in a 5 over game, each bowler is bowling a fifth of the overs so the bowling matters.  If you have two or three gun bowlers and the others are pretty poor, then a 7 or 8 over game arguably makes quite a difference as the good bowlers can bowl disproportionately many balls but would always be a tough one to judge. 

I'm not really sure that RCB's three significant batsmen are all ball 1 hitters either - Gayle tends to meander about with dots for an over or two and Kohli isn't always a fast starter either.  Okay, nobody is always a fast starter but you know what I mean.

Charlie, I've had kidney stones. When the pain re-occurs, p1ss into a plastic bottle until the pain goes away. If you pass a kidney stone you should be able to see it at the bottom of the bottle. You can then retrieve it and get the type determined (there is more than 1 type).
