In fact, the only thing I'd say against having a huge bias towards Pakistan here, is that it's a nicely poised game for several more, potentially rather large, market moves and possibly some very tempting prices indeed, so keeping at least some balance in your position (not that I have) is appealing. For example, slow start for the first 5-10 overs tomorrow could replicate yesterday's draw crash even though it would be setting things up nicely for Pakistan and for Misbah to hit out once spin comes on. I'm not wild about taking on some draw to reduce my red though, because it's late enough in the test match that I start to have at least a bit of an eye on the innate value of prices to keep rather than trade. That varies massively from match to match though, as in some games you need to have that more in mind on day 2 that you do here before day 4 starts.

I think Pakistan will look to bat as a deep as possible today and keep the West Indies out of any chance of them getting any sort of lead when batting 2nd. I don't think Pakistan will hit the acceleration button during the morning session, looking more to bat out time and I think if they still have wickets in hand post lunch session, will possibly look to accelerate. The draw price will hedge on , how well West Indies bat in the 2nd innings. Bat well, and the price will shorten quite quickly, have a collapse at any stage and I can see it ballooning out.

I will also have a stab at what could happen today, I think Pakistan will have around a 90-100 run lead in first innings and the Windies to have pegged them back to around parity with the loss of 2-3 wickets in their 2nd innings. At that rate, draw price will be a lot shorter again than what it is now at 1.62.

draw price not budging

I'd actually expected a bit of an early go slow and the draw dropping so had got most of my red away at 1.65, thinking I'd take it back on a bit lower but sounds like the bowling has offered some opportunities to score which has improved my overall position so not unhappy.

Hit my target of 2s inside an hour! Very nice trade, greened up and off for a kip!

Sarfraz Ahmed only knows how to play 1 way

and that is to attack

I'm out of the market now until Pakistan reach parity. Waiting to see how many wickets might be left at that stage.

pitch outfield is very slow as well

No more wickets so starting to pick up bits of Pakistan again. Expect they will get 350+

Not looking good for the Windies price to drop again.
If they bat quite well second time we will see some confusion in the draw price! |

I love the way Misbah blocks out a maiden and then practices some expansive cover drives.

still 74 overs left today, WI are going to have to bat well to save this match, something we dont see very often

Weather permitting, Pakistan looking a good bet..

|
By:
Pakistan are batting a lot quicker than I anticipated this morning
|
|
By:
still this pair is the key, Sarfraz and Misbah, you wouldn't want to be relying on getting too many runs off this pakistani tail........

|
By:
Amir, Shah, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Abbas to come.......

By:
Amir would be a number 11 batsman in most international sides
|
|
By:
the good thing about the tail is that they are all hitters not blockers

Partnership runs coming at a good rate, 68 off 115

Rameez Raja commending Misbah's batting
|
|
By:
curious to know did anyone see how Rameez Raja played back in his hey day?
|
|
By:
Misbah knows they only need to bat once. No need to accelerate. Just stay in for the next 60 overs and Pakistan win the match.
|
|
By:
god the windies are sh1te, that was a straight forward stumping chance
|
|
By:
windies going to need to bat around 100 overs !!!

Fantastic morning session for Pakistan, batting WI out of the game entirely (in this context, time prevents WI winning, even though the lead already attained doesn't) but also cracking on quickly enough through Safraz to put a bit of time back in the game. In fact, given the outfield, this is already a significant lead and a session of over 100 runs, even an elongated one, is enormous. I've not actually got today right as tried to get another draw lay in when it went under 1.6 for some reason but didn't manage and took some draw at 1.65 thinking a slow start would be likely to give me 1.55 or so to lay it back and also had my 2.12 taken but has obviously made my previous position vastly better, given I came in big green Pak, big red WI and mild red draw. Jucel is presumably making billions this game but I don't even harbour the tiniest resentment now my position is also very strong.
