If SA get dismissed for a 200 odd total, its only going to help the draw backers. First, they are great at NOT losing. Second, it means we have 4 innings. Third, SA would rather not lose than win, So when they come out to bat the second time, they'll bat for the forecastand draw.

If SA get 400 they could win by an innings against this lineup.
That would be the main concern. NZ's batting looks horrendous |
By:
There aren't going to be enough overs for a result either way imo.

theres about 3 hours of rain about to hit, monday and wednesday look like washouts and the other two days have rain forecast as well, its going to be a draw.

off they go

Good preventative measure this. Go off as its close to lunch already. Will the rain linger over lunch or will it clear? Time will tell.

I just think a big SA total reduces chances of the draw. So I dont mind seeing SA in early trouble(as does the market)
I say that because SA bowling is superior. AND NZ have collapsed before in better conditions. SA score 400 and i'll be praying NZ score 200+ which they might not |

I'l take a nap good luckto you all

Draw looks massive after seeing that two hours of play
Looks like a 4 day wicket (at least) |
By:
they might get a few overs in on Tuesday but thats about it imo
By:
Yes Dan, i am implying that..
Another smaller band of yellow following this one.... I am now shocked the draw is above 1.5 |
By:
Sorry I am still awake. WOndering why they went off? Was the drizzle strong? Or was it just a preventive measure? Could it be that the groundsmen aren't confident and hence got in really quickly to prevent damage?
By:
Also worth noting is that we've had two drizzles today both causing delays. And this with no clouds on the radar.
By:
Been thinking and not even sure they can use the floodlights as Dunedin didn't have any. Normally if there is a ground in the series without floodlights they can't use them in any of the games

if you look at the 3 day rain maps on met service you would put your house on the draw, the trouble is met service dont link their forecast with their forecast when infact their rain forecast has been more accurate .
By:
Still about 20/30 mins til it hits
