A bit of a bad news. Mark Nicholas, the Cricinfo columnist and Channel 9 commentator, has been taken to a hospital for tests after he complained of abdominal pains.

The draw has hardly moved with the rain. It was 4.4 when they went off.

Looks like more rain coming from the north west.

Forecast is showing just a couple of mm of rain. Which could mean drizzle that they may play thru. At least for a while.

Great game for back to lay draw with top ups on wickets, so far. While I've done well, sadly I was awake to move my last draw lay at 3.2 out of the way, just in time to miss most of it and not awake when the third and fourth wickets fell to top up (which I'd have done hard as was all green). Not sure what's going to happen with today's play but expect more interruptions and volatility, which should suit me from here.

Looks like we will lose an hour or two, but enough play for Australia to be batting by about tea.

Winviz has draw 1.5% - full bank lays all round. I think it's stalled at the point they came off for rain and hasn't recognised time lost. Obviously it also doesn't account for predicted weather.

You can safely ignore Winviz when there is rain.

Sure. It's a surprisingly low draw percentage even assuming no further time lost though: as I say, I think it's stalled thinking there are 40 overs of day 1 to go still.

Come on Aussie. Destroy the spineless bar stewards and the Paks. You really are a pr!ck whispering.

The band of rain looks like its just north of melbourne and will miss. So no delayed start probably.

there is some rain around in 30 mins or so. As pxb says it could be light.

Problem Aus have is they only have 4 bowlers. Smith can bowl a bit of filth, but he's not going to give the team 10 overs or so.

I'm liking the draw here. Even bits of rain thru the day should stop reverse.

I do. If Pak can post a decent 2 innings total and set Aus around 250 to 300. Shah could well win it for them.

That is what I am thinking too but not much faith in pakistan batting at times. This new ball might well be crucial to the match

I started off supporting the redskins back in 1984 I think. Joh nRiggins and Joe Theismann then went on to joining the Raider Nation around 2002 when I went to San Francisco and met my cousins. But had to wear the cheesehead when I started going to America to meet Mrs 'Deaths family. Her brother and sister live in Colorado so I have also been to a Brocnos game

You cannot believe how many people from Sconnie live in London.

When they won the Superbowl I watched the game at the Sports Cafe in the Haymarket. The playoff game against Pittsburg was 2-1 Wisconsin people over Pitsburg people.
