Banglas surprisingly big at 6s considering how close they came in the 1st Test, and they demonstrated they have better spinners. Speculation they will prepare a bunsen to exploit their spin advantage.

Some rain in the forecast. Draw unusually volatile.

Bangla back to lay looks attractive. But need to keep an eye on the weather.

This is where you make manoey in gambling imho!

The market sometimes gets it wrong and gives you on open goal. I have siad this before here several times. When you get these instances you have to smash them. I went 6 and a half times my match budget because I felt this would happen although initially went for England. Batting last on the subcontinent is tough.

This has been the most amazing few months. This has happened about 5 or six times. We even had an imminent Hurricane and bet 365 were still offering 8-1 on the draw!

I should really have gone again on Bangla but was in such a good position even after giving away 40% green I disn't want to risk it.

Cricket is a great game to bet on for sure.

Well done Bangla I think even England fans are happy for you!

I had a shocker from first session day 1.

Kept getting on the wrong side of things. Layed Eng today at 1.27 but was out and about so I wasn't concentrating enough to put the right amount on. Layed 1k but should have been 2k at least...

Then bailed, locked in a loss of 22% of my bank Sad

It's tricky when you have to do family stuff and can't watch at the key moments..

Wonderful series. A classic case of expect the unexpected and generally put your cricket brain to one side. On the plus side at 60, 70, 100-0 I may have done something very silly if I'd been in front of the tv...

Got 5 tests v India to make 30%. I'd take that now Happy

Again you are not wrong and also helpful pitches at home.

With regard to India I agree it is not looking good but as I have said before one of the pitches may well be a road and we need to find it and secondly I think England might get lucky once, maybe if they win a crucial toss. I'll be on here come rain or shine Whispering. The collapse today was appalling to say the least. It's a bit like boxing, we don't entertain the likes of Bangladesh as they have to earn the right to play us. We are not going to give a team ranked a zillion the chance to play the best. Can't see India preparing real dustbowls, don't think it would be in their best interests. The more it spins, the more it brings chance into play and lessens the difference between the 2 teams.
The type of pitches that would suit India are the low slow pitches that England have always struggled on, UAE/Oval 2016 type pitch.
Report tomtimtum October 30, 2016 3:56 PM GMT
And if those are the type of pitches India prepare, as long as Cooky doesn't lose all 5 tosses, I can't see us losing  5-0 (changed my mind as I did think 5-0 was possible)
Report rosebowl October 30, 2016 4:04 PM GMT
Im confident that Cook and Root will score big in India and I like Duckett and hope he gets an extended run. Ballance is never an England no 4 for me and after that its players who are hit and miss though Stokes excelled. The problem will be our complete lack of spinners. India will win comfortably. Great two matches here and Englands collapse was spectacular. I hope nobody got too badly burned and if you did beware for future reference England batting 4th in Asia.

WD did England bat terribly after tea or was it good bowling?
Report Whisperingdeath October 31, 2016 5:51 AM GMT
Too caught up in the excitement to notice Juce to be fair.

I didn't think it was spinning like a top a la some Indian Bunsens. Some played down the wrong line to straightish skidders, there were a couple of lbws to straight ones so it was not a mine field and they got to 100-0 on the same pitch. It did not blow up after tea. Bangla bowled well, England were poor in application. Same old same old. It was just that this time the middle order did not bail them out.

Some people see fit to criticise and complain about the batsmen ( erm sorry about that ) but shirley the Selectors need to put against the wall for this one. Why was Ballance brought on Tour? It has just complicated the whole make up of the side because of batting order. Why do we have so many left hookers coming in together? Do we really have the best spinners in the country on Tour? What is this fixation with having an ODI type batsman to open the innings? Don't get me wrong there is some mileage in the likes of Duckett but seeing him get out to a full straight one and be caught not only on the crease but leaving not just a gate  but all three stumps open was scary.

The Selectors are the ones who should be in the Dock. The players should be honoured for going on Tour and getting on with it. Stokes need to be reprimanded for his onfield ranting and be reminded he is an Englishman, not a Convict and that he should deport himself onfield as such!

Well like I have said you have talked the talk now walk the walk!

I look forward to seeing your comments, appraisals of both sides with strengths and weaknesses ( assuming you are able to admit an Aussie has a weakness! ), strengths of both batting line ups and bowling match ups. I also look forward to your advice on betting and timing of bets.

If you are prepared to put these up and back them up when questioned I am sure you will get an equally warm repsonse at least equal to the derision. The people who are smart will take anything you have to offer regardless of your previous generational criminal activity.

If anything it would be a huge advantage to most of us here to have things from an Aussie perspective as not only to most of us on here want SA to be rubbing Aussie noses in it but we shall be backing them to do it! If you have anything to offer with regard to form of the batsmen, preference of which foot they like to score their runs off, whether square on in the |" V ", what time the Doctor blows, pitch expectations and history, weather etc etc etc we would be most obliged should you wish to share it with us.

We do try to help each other win money on here together. Sometimes a contrary opinion is more important as it may help us not losing money which is more important. Don't expect not to get a hard time though. We would feel it ill mannered not to do so and extremly condescending, which, I imagine you would shirley be more offended by!

I would be interested to hear what you have got on Bodyline and I am sure there are plenty of others too. Feel free to clip and past anything you have put up before or links. I learnt a huge amount about World Series Cricket after the death of Tony Greig. I thought he was a traitor at the time. I had no idea what he did. I had no idea what the TCCB did or said and it was a revelation when I did.

I expect to see you on the Aus SA First Test Forum since you have opened your mouth!

Will have a go at that Dragon and throw a few quid at it. I'm as bad at football betting as Whispering is at cricket. Good luck with Preston

Been away Dragon. Only just seen the tip. Keep putting them up mate. Carlisle 52% possession. Unlucky this time. Let me know what you think next as my football tipping is horrendous.

hi TMB ,

Ultra busy at this time of year so not around as much and not as much time for betting analysis

Anyway here my systems selections for the weekend

HIGHEST RATED . PRESTON at 6/4 look a massive price to beat Wolves at home Apart from the home defeat 1-2 to high flying Newcastle Preston are in great form and are 3rd in the form league table. Apart from Newcastle they are unbeaten in 8 league games They have 5 wins 2 draws and 1 loss in 8 games and that was against some of the top teams in the division. Apart from the Newcastle game they have won 3 home games on the bounce and it looks a strong form line,

Wolves by contrast have not won a game since the end of September losing 5 and drawing 2 in the last 7. they are 2nd bottom of the form league and Preston should be too strong for them . 6/4 on the form book looks a great bet.

Equally highly rated are YEOVIL at 8/5 to beat Colchester. Yeovil are unbeaten in 5 with 3 wins and 2 draws and their home form is not too bad lying 8th in the League. They are up against Colchester who are in dire form having not won in 9 league games having lost the last 3 away games on bounce . 8/5 looks a massive price.

I have backed them both in singles and a double.

The other teams from my system are Plymouth at 10/11 to beat Grimsby, Luton at 4/5 to win at Morecombe and Derby at 4/9 to win at home  Rotherham

Have put all 5 in acca which pays around 30/1..

Good luck if you give any of them a go

Was about to post then realised was on wrong tread. What happened to the cricket thread?

Should be thankful Charlie. At least Dragon sticks his tips up and doesn't change them 20 times during the game like some on here
