Banglas surprisingly big at 6s considering how close they came in the 1st Test, and they demonstrated they have better spinners. Speculation they will prepare a bunsen to exploit their spin advantage.

Some rain in the forecast. Draw unusually volatile.

Bangla back to lay looks attractive. But need to keep an eye on the weather.

This turned from day 1 and we still went to day 5. Any rain could bring the draw into play even if it is a spinner's delight.

Draw trading under 3 seems short unless a fair chance of rain but tough one to call this. I wouldn't get too excited about Bangladesh getting close last match making them a good shot here, as despite England's batting being a bit dodgy, it seems unlikely the top order will get caught so short again and the England bowling is better, despite the spinners being inferior. Could be a fair bit of trading potential though, hopefully.

Cyclonic Storm Kyant will unleash heavy rain and strong winds on areas from western Myanmar to northeast India and Bangladesh this week.

Not forecast to have much affect on Dhaka past Thursday, but cyclones are unpredictable.

I am inclined to let this go and maybe make a trade or two during the game. The wetaher is a worry and we don't know what type of pitch is being prepared. Sometimes it is better to walk away than look to make something out of nothing.

If the game goes ahead without weather worries I strongly fancy England again. England were lucky but Bangladesh were alsi lucky in that England were so bad. Some players are playing for their places. I hope Ansari and Hameed get a go. Butler too if he can be fitted in ( unlikely! ).

I don't actually want Batty to play but think they all should so Cook can have a closer look at them. If there is likely top be rain interruption ( which England don't consider! ) this might be a good opportunity to play them all. There is little merit in playing Broad this time although I am sure he and Stokes would want to play. I don't actually believe in resting players certainly not for test Matches and their workload is not exactly high on the Subcontinent

I've gone half match bet England at 1.65 with a view that we shall not be losing too much weather time. Don't know what the pitch will be like yet or the composition of the England team. The rumour is Finn for Broad and Ansari plays instead of Batty. I would play all the spinners and let them have a shoot out personally. I hope England bat first get a huge score and then bowl them with attacking fields. I would bowl seamers for at least the first 4 overs too.

England should bat better this time round. I hope ballance is replaced with either Hameed or Butler, ideally both and that would mean Batty doesn't play. I am not sure he is our best spinner but he deserves a chance to prove otherwise.

Missed my draw lay at 2.9, watched it go out to 3.8 now back at 3.4. Sorry to have misdeed some trading and am just waiting to see what happens now. I don't think it will be a draw but obviously I wouldn't like to let that stop me losing a pile of cash backing it.

I have read the pitch is dry and cracked already. Think England should still be too strong. Heard top six may remain unchanged! ffs! Ballance plays again! Get Eddie Jones in. Heard what he said to the British Lion Tom Wood? You are distinctly average! or words to that effect. Go away play better and come back, he did!

I wonder if the pitch may play better on the second day? All in all I think 1.85 is a good price on England and I will top up when England are 25-4 again!

As a bet to keep rather than trade I'd go for England at anything above 1.8, yes. I am wondering whether the draw might be appealing if it gets up to 4s though.

It looks like its Ansari for Batty and either Finn or Ball for Broad, early pitch reports are saying it looks dry and cracked but wont break up as bad as chitagong.

The weather forecasts look similar to those we were getting for the India/NZ tests and there was never enough rain in those games to affect the result i suspect it will be the same in this match.

The big difference between the two teams in the first test was Englands ability to make the ball reverse swing and the strength of the tails. This rightly makes England favourites and if the top order fire 1.8 could be a huge price.

I really wish i had layed the draw yesterday at sub 3s, i put a lay in at 2.78 but it only went down to 2.84 Cry. I'm hoping it will get backed in again so i can lay it but if it spins from the first over again we will never see 3.8 again.

The sensible play is to wait and see how much spin the pitch is offering before betting so i will try to do this.

good luck Grin

Draw on a massive move in the last hour. Hard to see what the value is now but a result most likely looking at the pitch. I will wait for the toss before I make a move.

It was around 3.6 then up a point in no time. I was hoping to get a back at 4.1 and a lay at 3.4 in but obviously only got the back and regret it now. Does seem like an oddly big move, even if it's a result wicket, given there is at least some chance of rain. Anyway, will have to get up early to see how it goes.

just been around all the weather sites and they all vary as ususal but nothing major on any of them to worry

as for the pitch theres quotes on the cricinfo preview from Cook and Rahim but niether give much of an insight..we need rob key tweet like the last game.but that has its dangers.

i will be up watching in the morning so will wait and see and after getting the wrong side of the draw early last game i certainly wont be going in early and playing catch-up......draw moves 4.4 - 4.1 as i type,i will show restraint for a change.
hope for another odds swinging wicket festival of test match

England are a class above Bangladesh. They made it look more difficult than it was last time. I think that 1.74 is an excellent price. I am lumping

you have to think they've missed the boat. 1st test always the best chance to catch any tourists cold and although england are nearly always shaky at the top of the order unlikely to be 5 down for so few twice again

Bayliss follows in good traditions of England coaches with blind spots. To select Ballance ahead of Hameed (Duckers to 4 or 5) is bizarre. No way will Ballance last the winter. Surely Bayliss can see that??

I would have opened with Root anyway with Bell 3. I can't cope with Vaughan being right with his 5-0 prediction but I fear he may be..

yep injera inevitable hameed will get thrown in to make his debut probably in the 2nd or 3rd test with no proper match practice behind him when anyone except the england selectors would have had him in from the start. you'd think they'd learn their lesson after the ludicrous experiment with moeen opening in the emirates. it's a highly specialised position

as for england's prospects in india a lot dependent on cook. he's normally good for at least one massive hundred in asia although that will be tricky if they play on some real farcical bunsens. suppose those a real low scoring game would give england as dogs a puncher's chance at least. you'd hope england will have more about them to do better than the likes of australia and south africa have done recently. might get away with something respectable like 3-1
